its not about mark duggan anymore,he never fired at the police but he did have a gun capable of fireing live ammo,we cant blame any single culture exept for the youth,its gangs comming together to" get free stuff and get it in "its all over the GB now and i think its going to continue for some time,mindless vandelism with no purpose,innocent shop owners and car owners having their property destroyed for no reason but greed of the gangs wanting to wreak havoc......shameful...

It's pretty sad some of the comments on this thread aye. And I've been watching a few youtube clips as well and the racism is just rampant, not just racism, but some un-founded sense of nationalist pride (self-entitlement). All a little bit gross.

If economic collapse continues then of course there will be unrest to follow. However - Just to go back to your previous comment; this has nothing to do with "importing 3rd world populations", if anything you can blame the fat-cat neo-liberals with all their deregulation and debt-encouragement. And the fact of the matter is, so called 3rd world countries are also largely held at bay by the neo-liberal agenda and by that I mean it protects the interests of the very wealthy if the poorer countries stay poor.
I really don't think you can point the blame though for something like this, beyond the people that are doing the looting/rioting. You can try and label them and stereotype them into social demographics but in the end, these peoples don't represent or speak for anyone other than themselves.

Of cause it has. Remeber, europe has a much higher population density than australia. And a bunch of different cultures on a limited space has never worked, and it will stop working in europe the moment the resources will be limited. Then it is them against us. As is always has been.

this dont have a great deal to do with race as far as i can see its more to do with rich and poor. You dont get middle class people doing this because they dont need to if they want a big TV (not saying people should riot) These kind of things happen where large sections of poor people of the country live or alot of them.
people are always far to quick to jump on the race thing or they are from other countries and ignore the real problems in society!

social economic situations (*ahem* rich & poor) are often confused with race. People think that if the majority of a poor and troubled (drug problems for example) neighbourhood are African for example an then people connect Africans with drugs/crime. However, the actual direct correlation exists between being lower-class and the drug/crime problems.
This has been shown in many studies, same goes for education, IQ even (this was once thought to be inherent in race and some people even believe 'whites' had a naturally higher IQ) but - studies have shown that children of any race raised as middle-upper class exhibit the same levels of education, IQ, civil obedience etc as anyone else. Likewise white people raised in lower classes will exhibit the same lack of education & IQ and will be just as likely to be prone to crime, drugs, welfare payments, etc.
If you want to fight out against anyone, fight against the bankers, the corporations and the dodgy politicians that help push through their BS policies.

Noone now involved in that daily scandal of huge amount of robberies, pillage and breaking everything they see already knows why did that started. Since Euro 2004 (european football championship which took place in Portugal), i had a great image of english men: ugly, full of tatoos with their flag, but educated, correct, discription was is main value in concentrating points aong all cities of Portugal, where have been giant screens to watch the games. They were always singing "We are not going home!" each time England scored!! Now this is a stain on the image i have of them, i am sorry, perhaps its not the fault from those i have known, but still...

It is that simple, except the don't even represent or speak.
Now from what I have been hearing, the general feed back seams to go to "we/they have nothing to do", well then lets give them something, national service.
Apparently 25 vans of police en route from Fife to Brum as well. Did they not learn their lesson yesterday about advertising which areas had no police?

Well its starting to look like tonight's the night...The petty kids will be sat in playing on their new playstation whilst the hardcore will be taking a battering, tonight the police wont know were to turn. These kids have been on a rampage, I think possibly tonight they will be shown a riot. But on a plus note, at lest they will come back in the morning to clean up!
