So its an all english quarter final in the european cup and we got drawn against arsenal. I think they are better than us in the premier leauge but they dont stand a chance in europe lol Whats yur thoughts? CMON LIVERPOOL!!!!

Dreams are free i suppose. I can only admire your loyalty Bakera. Liverpool have had their day in Europe. It was back in the 80's. It's time for a new era in British dominance of Euro and it's Arsenals time. God knows i've waited long enough..!!

lol so im guessing your an arsenal fan rush? i know we have had our day and in the premier leauge i would agree with you that arsenal are way ahead of us but its the champions lauge and we just have something about us in the competion, we are the team to fear and you know it especially with the run of form were in. I think come may we will be singing... " we won it 6 times in moscow we won it 6 times lol

I know. I watched every final when i was back in the UK. I can't deny they were a great team....back in their day ! A great team which had great managers, starting the legendary Bill Shankley. It was him who gave us the quote, Football is'nt a matter of life or death. It's more important than that". But personally, you just can't compare that team with todays. Todays are good but they were great. Arsenal, on the other hand, do compare with the double winning side of 70/71. Talking of 70/71, just remind me who it was we beat in the FA Cup final to complete the double. The teams name just escapes me.

I wouldnt say we are a great team but i just think we have something extra in europe than any of the teams left. ..2 finals in 3 years speaks for itself , i mean we have been here before we know what is all aboout and i know you have too but i think the football gods look down on us in europe lol especially after istanbul. In torres and gerrard we have 2 players in outstanding form and in mascherano i think we have got a bragain cause the guy is awesoME. And how old do you think i am? i wasnt even born in 1970/71 so i have no idea who you beat lol.

Ok, i'll give you a hint. it was the same team they beat in the final match of the 88/89 season to win the league.A team that they said could'nt be beaten at home and certainly not by two clear goals that Arsenal needed. But they did.

Robbed my arse...lol. i was on a high for 6 months after that. I think we've stalled this year and Utd could pinch it. After the first draw, villa i think, i thought hmmm, these boys are going for champions league. They confirmed it by doing the unthinkable....again....by stuffing R.Madrid in their own back yard. Drawing Liverpool was the best thing that could happen to us. You know, us playing the weakest team and all that. Seriously though, it's a tough game for both teams. they know each other so well. It's a 50/50 call.

lol come on now i really dont believe you think we are the weakest team left in the competiton. What about shalke or fenerbache? I guarrantee you that wenger would have took any team apart from liverpool yes its a 50/50 chance but its in europe not the league and we are a totally different side in europe. Did you not see what patrick viera said? " I hope arsenal win it obviously but i cant see anything but another liverpool win in the final " or something along those lines. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

It might help if i get my facts right. Of course it was inter we beat and not madrid. My comment about the weakest team was but a jest. Lets just say, may the best team win. And, may they go on to take the final.It'll be Arsenal of course. tell you what, if liverpool win, i'll buy you a pint the next time i'm in Liverpool.
