ok so what does everyone think of the games played so far this weekend
i have to say im so proud to be welsh after this mornings display ( that we shudda won )
any views on that so called penalty miss that wasnt a miss ??? - why didnt the english ref go to the video ????
out of the 16 teams that have played so far i cannot see anyone capable of beating south africa or wales ,
personaly i think wales will be very disapointed at loosing by 1 point when we must have had at least 75% possession and teritory and ran south africa of the park for most of the game..
im of for a new heart later as im sure i exploded this one watching the game lol.

Its the first match iv watched, possibly ever, good game to watch too. You could tell wales was knacked towards the end, I don't know why they did not just put a few more drop kicks in(think thats what they are called) Just to even out and get extra time. From what I seen wales played better and did deserve a win, as for penalty, I have no clue. I do find it funny though that overpaid football players take little nudges and go flying all over the pitch and lay down for 10 mins when these guys take full on slams and get up like self respecting people.

i used to play many years ago ( way to old now lol ) and played a full second half with broken finger but know many more players that have played on with some real bad injurys and not worried until final whislte .
for the record there is no extra time in the group matches only the later games.

The wales - south africa game was brilliant. definitely the best game so far. It was just really disappointing that we couldn't win when we had the perfect chance. That missed drop goal right at the end was gutting.
All I've heard though is about how terrible the ref was. And although I'm Welsh and biased it was ridiculous that he disallowed a penalty when the judges behind the posts who are there for a very good reason said it was scored. And then in the last five minutes there was a clear knock on from South Africa that would have given us the ball earlier. But dodgy refereeing is part of the game and it's no good blaming the ref for our loss. If we had scored the three points I'm sure South Africa would have attempted a drop goal anyway so it's not necessarily a win with a better ref.
Plenty of positives to take from the game. We should face Australia in the quarters now and you never know. The way things are looking, if we beat Australia we'd face England in the semi final and we know we can run all over them. They were as bad as ever against Argentina and yet amazingly they won. Probably on their way to the finals.

nope they haven't played a game yet. Their first is on wednesday against scotland. It'll be shown on ITV at 830 am uk time. Scotland should be firm favourites but bearing in mind that the Scottish only beat Romania by 10 points and have only had half a week of rest, I wouldn't rule out an upset. The group looks like it could be pretty tight as England didn't have a good first game either but I can't see Georgia going through when they have Argentina, Scotland and England in their group.
Watched my first game this morning. Canada defeated Tonga. The game was too close. I don't think Canada will go very far. Came from behind to win by 5. I'm hoping they televise more games than just the Canadian matches. Rugby has to compete with baseball, football ( Canadian & American), and hockey over here.

i cant belive they are not showing any other matches other than canadas over there
we have every single match shown live + then repeated about 3 times throuought the day .
Got to see NZ and Japan.. I may have jumped the gun. The post game interviews were awesome. I tend to get reassured after I see such a great display of mutal respect.
