No offensive to the people that died or their families.
But all the BS hype about 9/11 is a bunch of crap. I didn't know these people, I don't live in NYC or even in the USA for the matter. Of course I accept it was a terrible tragedy; I'm not a monster.
But - Seriously, considering the horrible stuff that happens in our world, the genocides, the wars, the rapes and slaughter of entire villages etc etc etc - Why am *I* going to spare a special thought JUST because this happened to AMERICANS.
Compared to most infamous atrocities 2000 dead isn't even a particurarly large number.
Like I said; no offence to the dead or the mourning but seriously - anyone who feels "affected" by this more so than other tragic events in the world is just a westernised-media-mind-fucked-zombie. Sorry.

It is funny how this is up there as a great tragedy, and its not, not even close, I bet most have forgot about the fairly recent tsunami(s), lets take 1 for EG, 2004 Indian Ocean, 230k+ dead, anyone remember, how about Chernobyl?, just 2 of lots of real tragedy's. I think the US forget that having this replayed every year...seriously every year, only gives terrorists hope, also puts fear back in to the people along with hatred, to be truthful this 911 stuff is more of a celebration for those who hate the US/western ways. And the US will milk it, because they know they make money on the back of it, and justify the things they do. Bless my blackened heart, I played poker and supped some beers, without a thought to them.
KFC are launching a meal deal in remembrance. 4 hot wings, 2 flaming towers and a big apple crumble. All for $£9.11....Fck off I didn't fly the plains.

i also dont wanna sound like a monster but i could put my sign under your post. yearly 9.000.000 innocent children at a age of 0-5y starve to death (thats 25.000 a day) and no one cares or has a memorial day. since 9/11 2001 over 300.000 people died in iraq/afghan war - which was a lie. thats 100x more deaths. the firefighter, the so called hero´s, werent even invited. they are heros when you need em for your politic, next day the US gov (republican) accuse the same firefighters, who got sick at 9/11, that they simulate so they dont have to pay - strange world. its a tragedy but a day like any other day when innocent ppl die. so yes i played poker.

I always remember September 11, 2001 for a few things: - my wife and I were to be married three weeks later, and when we left on honeymoon security was insane, and the utensils for eating the airplane "food" were almost made of rubber
- my cousin had been visiting from Spain for that summer, and was scheduled to go home on that day! Needless to say she spent another two weeks with us before she could leave
- but mostly I remember meeting up with my best buddy for lunch that day, and watching the scene unfold on the screen in the pub while we ate. We ended up spending a good part of the afternoon there just talkiing and watching in disbelief. I remember that time together very well due to the circumstances, and as well because he died a couple of years later in a tragic snowmobile accident.
I think it was and is a big deal because it was very graphic, plunging jet aircraft into skyscrapers, but as several have noted much bigger losses of life have happened worldwide in the past 10 years.

I remember perfectly of that day, i just woke up and was watching news at lunch when breaking news shows images of the first tower burning. And then, in direct, the second plain... I hope noone understand me wrong for what i will write next, but we are talking about 3,000 victims of terrorism and already before 9/11 (and from then after it happened more) there wasnt one week without news from victims of terrorismo all around the world. Greatfully, USA helped a lot to try to terminate terrorism since that date, but infortunately there were also many civilians who lost their lifes because of war against terrorism. Today i heard that a bus in Irak blow and killed more than a duzen USA troops. When will it end?

it was truly a tragic event but as so many say there's worse things happening all the time, its a sad day for all connected to the 9/11 event but its also a victory for the terrorist groups every time its mentioned.....what bugs me the most is the people not connected to it standing in the street sobbing, when Diana Spencer died, the streets were lined with people crying, they didn't know her!!!why jump on the bandwagon?let the people who lost out grieve and the rest of us can get on with our everyday business....
I think pretty much like Jess. It's sad but I'm definetly not gonna cry about it
Americans seem to like war, so of course people are gonna try to attack them on their soil to show them what it feels like. And still we don't even know if that really was a terrorist attack or a conspiracy...

Pretty much agree with Jess and B1gfoot.
The reason people remember where they were and what they were doing when it happened (like me), is mostly because the first reports were: "The US is being attacked!" The first few hours of news reporting were all about that, and it seemed that we would be going into WW4 at that moment. It was freaky. What country in it´s right mind was attacking the US on it´s own soil? And was everyone going to start "nuking" each other or something as a result?
Never forget that day, but in comparison to other real-world tragedies, there is SO much worse...

ok i am very late to respond, but i like the idea you raised at all- in the end its up to every individual, but i believe statistically most of people will not change their habits unless they are directly influenced by the issue itself

generaly its always a good idea to try alternative media, to get some independent informations. ofc not everything is true, what the mainstream media tells us. and yes, there has been alot false flag operations who have been confessed. i personaly think 911 looks fishy at times, still dont know what to believe, but infowars.com is a pure conspiracy site, for peeps who think the whole world is a conspiracy, that makes this site very implausible.
