Why on all of the poker sites out there, when you go to the freeroll tab there are maybe 1 or 2 that you can actually register to. The rest are resticted or invites, why are they there? If it is not a freeroll they should be under the special tab or somewhere else, just a blurb but it annoys the s**t out of me.

They all considered freerolls no matter if you can join or not becasue they are restricted to a specific group or to ones having invitations. Its the 0 entry that counts Some sites go a step even further and categorizing them but i havent seen a site so far with a freeroll section which the 100% of players can register to the tournies. There is always one you cant join

This is valid on majority of poker platforms not only ipoker actually...
There are a lot of poker affiliates like bankrollmob that offer special freerolls to their members on various platforms, so it's logic that those freerolls are accesible only to those members
You can nothing to do about those restricted freerolls unfortunately...

I think the associated sites, the affiliates and freeroll providers want you to see the restricted freeroll as they know there are loads of freeroll hunters out there who will go to the site in question looking for entry. Of course most freerolls are restricted as it's quite rare to get something for nothing, but that doesn't stop a lot of players sneaking into every freeroll going, usually through scumbag password sharing sites.
Funnily enough, four years ago I was on partypoker, looking through all the freerolls for an opportunity for free money, and I saw a bankrollmob.com freeroll. And that is how I came to find this site. Even though I couldn't play that freeroll as I'm not affiliated with brm on party, it did give me a lot of freerolls and more since.

Ha ha sorry to hear about your frustration there Mongo. Awood88 summed it up quite nicely for sure. Definitely designed to stimulate the appetite. Plus I imagine it would just be extra work for the site to separate them all and provide no real gains.

just play what you can and ignore what you cant, no reason for getting frustrated imo and i found bankrollmob too in a similar way by looking at the restricted freerolls at mansion.
