Posted by retribution: Wow, I seriously thought there was some genuinely intelligent and interesting people in this forum. I guess I was wrong. Gratz people, you've just pushed away a valuable member who actually made an effort to contribute positive things to the community.
Enjoy chatting about how awesome scamming people is, with admitted thieves.
I'll find a place where I can express my opinion openly without being crucified for it.
To OP, get fucked you limey scumbag faggot. I hope you and your kind rot in hell, you fucking thief.
*edit* Oh by the way, if admin happens to read this, it should be noted that OP openly admitted that the account he's using to post is not his, but his "girlfriends". I'm pretty sure your TOS says 1 account per household, and no account sharing. So if he doesn't get banned for the toxic b******t he's brought to the forum, he should probably be banned for using an account that's not his.
Or let him keep blatantly breaking the rules, as that seems to be the norm around here.
Btw dont forget to ask admin to delete your account!

i understand your hate for bots or botter, retribution, because its indeed a danger for the pokercommunity and for poker itself. unlike the widely held view that "pokerbots are easy to beat" is exact the opposite (if its a well programed bot) - theres some professional bots who won easily vs several online pros and other poker bots. some even think to use this kind of bots in the near future for stock exchange.. if someone is really interested in bots to buy or whatever he will get this info elsewhere on internet and last site he would visit would be BRM, so i dont get what makes you so upset..

The fact that some scumbag comes into the community, brags about his exploits and then talks about how easy it is, all in the name of "answering questions", which if anyone bothered to read, he has done a piss poor job of.
Doesn't exactly create a positive environment, now does it. I also find it funny how initially in this thread, people commented on how funny my comments were.
Oh, btw no I wouldn't ask admin to close my account. Why would I? I have an affiliate account that's making me money, why would I give that up?

I think things here just got a bit out of hand. I for one found ur first comment on this thread hilarious, but from then on it shifted from being funny to being over aggressive m8. Its obvious that the guy is not doing this out of good will or coz he got a conscience. hes doing it for his own interest, brag sure, but mainly as a revenge from being kicked out his working team. Most of the guys here don't agree with is former activity but have an interest on hearing what he has to say... while he has something to say u see... not like he became an instant hero or something like that. Personally i find interesting what he has to say coz i know very little about the matter. i don't approve it but i don't hate him for it also. lifes too short m8 just enjoy poker while ur living it ... besides see it like so, its one less botter for u to worry about
3. how much profit do people usually make using bots?
Usually, they clear a bonus at best. Mostly, they lose allot of money
4. what makes bots susceptible to getting caught/ detected?
1 Running multiple "different" players, wich turn out to be the same (exact same stats) 2 Pokerclient detecting bot because of no/poor stealth
5. whats the number of bots on the major sites according to you ?
Well, I dont know. I do know Full Tilt was full of bots, maybe an avarage of 2/3 bots per full ring at the micros. Some guys where running "bot farms", huge ammounts of bots running at the same time, This way the micros got profitable for them, in the end they got busted. They where running shankys bot. By the way, running these botfarms, I do find unethical. Because even sucking bots wich play just above break even, can make lots of money, but ruin the micros by making them ultra ultra tight.
6. which is the best way to know u are playin against a bot?
Most bots are static, so they often/always repeat their actions in the same situations.
7. Which is the best way to beat a bot? Same as beating a multi tabling TA grinder. Place a floating bet after the bot/TA grinding human raised preflop and most likely missed
with a board texture like this for example:
FLop : 927
the bot/TA grinding human player mostly places a cbet 3/4 or 1/2 potsize. If you are the only other player in the hand, call it, then raise on the turn if a straight is possible or when a set is possible with cards lower then his . Everthing below Jacks for example.
8. which stakes/ games bots are most common? Micros
9. how much money do the bot programmers make by selling bots? Lots, most make more selling them, then by letting them play. AND, most of them adjust them before selling, like making them handicapped.
10. how many times did u get caught? Did u ever get a legal notice etc from site? YES
11. Why are you doing this? I stopped botting, and I think botting is being overrated by non botting players.
12. can bots send info like hole cards of users over net so that programmers can use it to their advantage? if yes, did u ever get involved in such a thing?
In theory, yes just like human players they can collude. No I did not because I consider it cheating.
13. what would u prefer? playing by urself or let a bot do its work Playing myself, let the bot do its work isnt fun, now adjusting the bot is. Its like training someone to play.
14. whats the biggest " DO" and "DONT" while using bots?
Wont answer this one as it is not the intention of this thread
15.Why did u join this project?
For kicks and cash
16. Are there bots in other online games too? if yes hav u participated in similar projects there?
Bots are all over the net, in games, stockmarket, facebook, chatrooms, everywhere. Its like skynet all over.
17. and lastly do u have any feelings of guilt? if yes does it affect your life in any way?
RBD are you the tube that put a bot at the 25c/10c tables on stars with $5 starting stack and went all in with any 2 cards over 10? The amount of money that one took off me was unreal! Although stars did give me 34c back from that one. A generous amount if I don't say so..

The way this thread is going it has a very good chance of getting locked Wouldnt be a surprise though cause things are getting controversial. From one side as someone said here, its possibly a brag. From the other we all had some questions about a few things since we all at some point have played against one. But at the end it might also be an education for some players who want to use that crap. And that would be the worst of all outcomes of this thread.

Wow, great thread: Action, education, conflict. I read every word and have found it interesting. Best thread in a while.
I don't see the point in thumbs downing Retribution. It's expected that there will be some strong feelings on this topic, and that's part of the interest, we're talking about something real (although, your last few posts were over the top, keep it civil friend).
I have a question though, if using a piece of software to allow you to play more tables effectively isn't unethical, why is botting? If you design a bot that mimics your play style exactly (as Doomdy was suggesting) it's no different then that player playing you right? Just allow you to play 50 tables+ as opposed to 5. Obviously only one bot per table. No colluding.
Dont know if you are asking that to me, but even a simple macro script can push allin every hand. that was not a bot, that was a fool, a lucky fool
------------ @Arithmajik
Best argument to consider it unethical: The bot follows the code flawlessly (even if its crappy code ofcourse, the code mostly is far from flawless). So it puts emotions aside.
But then again, so can certain medication/drugs... the ethical or not discussion is a tricky one, I understand both sides.

See where I'm going with this?
just replace, for each donk each fish whos doing mistakes, with a bot . think that should answer your question.
