Sorry to hear things didn't go so smoothly out of the box there NPW and Leeollie. It's very hard to build up from so little, but Gomer got the key, Bank Roll Management. Also try an offer that gives you a little more to start, like Party.

I know the problem. I always searched for a fast way to earn more cash. Then a sit down at a cash game with a high risk to lose it and often this happens. From now on i will stick to sit n gos and tourneys! Good luck at the tables!

Yeah as mentioned above, stick to SNGs. Maybe playing on a site like pokerstars would solve the problem, you can block yourself from cashgames and specific stakes there. If you play on another site, maybe you can ask the site if they could remove your access to cashtables (most sites do that about their casino games,so I dont see a problem why it wouldnt be possible with cash tables).
But dont worry, been there in the past as well (I've fixed that problem by now,but it has cost me about $1K before I managed to do that ) gl
That's why i will never play cash again ... I rather prefer winning little by little, with a controlled bankroll management than having the chance of winning lots of bucks playing cash

Hello Npw123
I think one of the best things you can do is define a kind of play. SNG, MTT ot Cash, no matter what but choose one and not change it unless we are serious to change. Mixing patterns is pretty bad idea, imo.

im a stg player myself but sometimes its tempting to go try ur luck at the cash tables and before u know it, what took u 3 or 4 games to gather disappear all in one hand. in yachting poker i have no other choice but to try them thou, at least if i want to have any chance of clearing those points necessary for a withdrawal... but in that situation is a controlled risk so i tend to block myself from overdoing it and stick to the goal: clear points

my weakness is i play a tourney for hours, win cash then go the casino -and what took hours to win i spend minutes to loose ~ drives me fkn craaaazy. I know the secret is when you have played an intense game is to turn off computor and have a rest, just wish i could do it lol.

i think beeing greedy is the main reason..then is your need to play some more and you think ..cash game..hmm..why not...easy money right? and maybe i can double or triple that ammount ..wouldn t it be nice? ..that s what i think and still doing )...

Since you have find your favourite and profitable kind of game you should stick to it. No reason to try something new Self control is all that you need and possibly as already been said above ask from the site you play to ban the rest of the games. gl

You can win incrementally with cash games too, right? It's all about restricting the blinds/buy ins. There's a different strategy to the game play but the bank roll management is still key. When I was at Cake I had to play exclusively cash games, I had more variance but a similar rate of growth.
