Pokerstars Schedule   0
Hi there,

I opened this thread for some help which i myself am too lazy to do and honestly i dont have a good point of view what is profitable.

Let me hit the question down: What tourneys do you think/feel like i should be playing (MTT , SnG multi tables)

The reason for this is once i have money i start playing everything i can without having the idea in my head (hell yeah im going to win this) my mind gets blurry and i will slowly start thinking final table is good enough, finishing in the money is good enough etc etc.
Then i get to the point where poker simply gets boring and i have less motivation.

My question to you readers is what tourneys do you think i should play? (with some tips of what i do like to play) (Reward for best 2 ideas in 3 weeks prizes to be announced)

I dont like to play longer then 5 hours in 1 tourney so i like to play turbo tourneys "use this as example for the other tips"

Tips: Turbo, H.O.R.S.E, No Limit Hold em, Rebuy, Knockout, Limit buyin $4.50 .(Only on Pokerstars)

Thank you in Advance for taking the time to come up for a nice amount of games i should be playing

Best Regards,
Prohorse

PS. i made such a messy thread LOL sry for the mess Aww crap! Shock

I can surely answer you this question, but I'd need to know what bankroll you're playing with Blink

EDIT: oh,and how many tables you can play max. if possible

well the bankroll answer is answered above Tongue i set my limits around $5 so anything below $5 will fit in my bankroll

i can play 6 tables max at the same time, noted that the games dont mix NLHE + Horse
i can either play 6 NLHE or 6 Horse Blink

I was asking for the bankroll because the different field sizes (even at MTSNGs) require different bankrolls,so it'd be good to know that (just to minimize your risk of going broke).
I've played every kind of MTSNGs from 18s-180s (and still do) and obv. MTTs as well,so I probably know alot about the variance involved in those games Blink

lol ok ok lets say a bankroll of $350 Tongue

Ok then I'd probably focus on SNGs for bankroll building.
The $3.50 45s could be a good game for you, they are pretty soft and have much lower variance than $2.50 180s.
As for MTTs I would only play the $1.35 KOs and the $2.20 12K GDT (those are pretty much the only turbos I'd play with that BR,maybe add the $4.40 10K GDT sometimes).
You really have to be conservative with your bankroll in 180s,downswings of 100+ buy ins are very common,so dont play $2.50 180s with less than $500 BR imo (you can mix a few into your 45s sessions if you'd like, but dont grind them too much).

With BRs like this SNGs are really the way to go to build a decent bankroll in a relativly short time

Theres much sense in what you say even thoug its a small schedule thoug and i only the MTTs,
I suppose the 3.30 Horse is what i can mix into that aswell.
I do my nickname honor playing that game definitely more in SnGs then in MTTs though,
been unlucky in the MTTs though not playing them much as the game isn't so popular unfortunately Sad

thanks ill definitely try this approach for the next 3 weeks im good at poker enough confidence im just a bad bank roller therefor i made this thread Blink

Yeah you could mix in horse MTTs as well, the field size is much lower and it's probably a lower variance game overall, the problem with that is you said you dont wanna mix NLH and Horse at the same time.
Your value in playing 6 NLH SNGs at the time than, lets say,2 horse MTTs at the same time,is definitely higher

Uhhh well it all depends on your playing style, time u can play and bankroll, if u dont mind playing long sesions maybe try some MTTs see how it goes, if u want shorter sesions and ability to walk away any time u want go for Cash games...as for buy-ins 50-100 of ur bankroll works for both Cash and MTTs :d

Hi!!

With 350$$ bank, you can play 3.5$ (no highers). I recommend you forget playing 'Turbo' and play SnG MTT 45 / 90 / + players.

Greetings from Barcelona!!

@shaded
indeed for MTTs make sure you got about 200 buyins at the least im a donkey at bankroll but at least i know that much (thoug i cross this line too much aswell)

im not a rookie at poker i know pretty much everything but like i stated before the hardest part in poker is controlling your bankroll which im a serious donk at.

@chartoule
read the topic which contains my question with demands (so slow tourneys get me bored too much and turbos are more my kind of style)
