there are loads of good, excellent and not-so-good chips, it would help if you gave somekind of idea about the budjet

Its hard to give any advice only imo. Just go to a shop where you can buy poker stuff, and check some chipsets out.. I have seen a lot with high quality, with out spending a lot of money on them.
