Just wondering why my dominate hand loses literally every single time at online poker. I have not come close to winning a tournament now in a number of months. I have the dominate hand going in. On the flop I am still the dominate hand.. I get pushed and I lose literally every single time. I am so frustrated I am seriously considering giving up online poker. THis is aweful. And it is at every single site I play. I give up!!!!!!

This, my friend, is called variance. Get used to it and don't let it get you down.

Also, I implore you to go back and look at how you played some of your "dominant hands" you might find you're slow playing too often, giving out free draws, letting villain catch up etc.

or he could simply be overplaying his hands because hes to impatient and playing as a nit puts him on tilt when he finally gets a hand, i found that happened to me, so i loosened my game up and learned to play post flop

Got nothing to do with that. Just noticed after your reply where you are from. But quite honestly i dont even understand your question so i presumed it s just whine thread?
Your every good hand loses? You dont say anything more? How? Vs how many opponents? Is it all in preflop? etc... etc.. If you dont do that it s just random...

Cheers.

can i say I experince the same problem but the only site where 95% of the time the strongest hand wins is PKR so I either don't play or play there my best advice is find a site that does the same and stick to it...

Sometimes shouting ONE TIME helps, or if on a site with silly smiles, then you need to use the LOL when you get feed the hand, then the roll on the flop, if you happen to know hidden ones, then man you are in luck.

- argh, have to take a shower now. Sorry man but aren´t there enough commercials out there for PKR ??? Why not just leave this promo s**t out of those discussions? BTW: Are you just kidding? Ok then, but I don´t believe in your 95%, that´s nonsens (do your first real deposit and wonder how things will change by time)

@OP: and get used to the idea that you even could get fooled around the clock - not a must, but it happens - if still interested to play online do some homework. Google for phrases like BOT, LNP+Poker, cheating+poker, Potripper, Russ Hamilton, etc...

I am often suspicious because of the way that I either run good or run bad and it seems to come in waves.

When I hit a good patch I can call with anything ( and I mean anything ) and get lucky. It dpesm't seem to matter what they have, I hit everytime and win.

Then on the reverse when I go into a losing streak its unreal. Try flopping quad queens and lose to a royal flush on the rive which I encountered the other day..... OR flopping a full house only to lose to quads... Straights getting beat by runner runner flushes. Overpairs getting beaten by top pair and they then hit trips.. Its incessant, and it doesn't matter what game you are in, who you are playing, what the flop is, you know you will get beaten..

Every hand it seems that you are being given a piece of the flop to entice you in. A great example is this one.. I pick up 9 9 on the BB. THe player UTG raises pre flop. It folds to me and I call. The flop comes down 6 8 9... He c-bets ( expected ) so I re-raise. Top set.. I am pretty much certain to be ahead. He shoves and theres no way I can lay down top set... What has he raised with out of position pre flop... 10 7 offsuit... Theres no way I can let it go, and I am busted... Tell me that the flop wasn;t set up for action... and its not just one occasion, its almost every single time when I am on a losing streak...

I dont doubt alot of the suckouts are down to bad play most of hte time, but there is a large amount of times where I've been put in positions where I simply cannot fold, and I am either outdrawn or the absolute improbable scenario has occured and the cards they have, no one with any sense would play....

Thats why I would never ever say poker isnt set up for action....

SOmewhere I read that the chances of seeing AA meet HU with KK in a MTT is something like 5%.. I cannot remember a MTT online where AA hasn't at some stage come up against KK...

It happens too often for it to be coincidence....

Bad beats do happen often, sometimes the worst kinds can lower your poker morale, but hang in there the tides will turn around and you will be at the lucky end some day.

It's different on PKR - you have to use the correct Emote-Combos.. And opponents can initiate combo-blocker emotes as well.. It's a whole other level.

Sometimes you may think that bad beats take for ever.
Then its time to take a break.
After the break review your history and evaluate your play.
Youi may need to do some changes.
Often a new site helps. gl

Nicely said! In poker the most important thing is to not be easy to read. Passive-tight players overplay their big hands a lot and it makes them easy to read, that's why you have to mix it up. You better play a lot of "small" pots than risk it all every 30 minutes, because that 20% suck out probability will get you sooner or later. That's why I don't like small buy-ins MTTs, people just shove pre flop regardless of how many BBs they have in their stacks.
