Is Carbon Poker Pretty Safe?  0
Hey all,

Think of depositing there and was just wondering, does anyone here play there and have $1500 or more in their balance?

Just wanted to get a gauge of the safety of a sizable deposit and withdrawal post Black Friday. Also I've heard that they accept US players so they may be next on the chopping block, right?

Thanks for the heads up and any comments.

Carbon poker is merge gaming networks flagship site. Network has about 50+ skins and is currently the largest network/site that accepts US players. Just a word of caution, deposit at your own risk if you are from the US. All sites that accept US players have problems cashing out to US players (meaning you might get your check after 1-2 months of withdrawing).

Being the largest us accepting network, they would be next on DoJ's list.

Personally i have a roll on hero poker which is another skin, but it's quite small and if the network was to get pwned by the DoJ. The money on there won't affect me much.

I have an account with Carbon, but never deposited there and so far I don´t have experience with cashouts.
Just builded up a bankroll from zero by playing private freerolls.

I still haven’t had time to go and get the hands on this new bonus, but the analysis at BRM are favorable. I don’t think you need to be afraid about their security system, perhaps you should worry about your poker skills. Being a table with a considerable time of existence, I bet there are many sharks around in every type of levels…

Had some hundreds left on merge but withdraw all, not want the money stuck cos of things like FT ect.
But have to say merge is very good skin imo.

It depends actually, if you are an canadian player, or a non-us player to bemore precise you are safe...

If you are an us player then allonline poker sites are unsafe until there will be an online poker law Blink

Since the story is out in the air with sites accepting US players i wouldnt go
there Arith with a big deposit.
Its a big risk.
Better to start low there and cash out as many times as you can leaving a small portion there
that wont affect you in the future.

Thanks for all the responses guys.

I was planning on doing a large deposit to take maximum advantage of a deposit offer. Won't be doing it quite yet any how. But I may heed your advice (Especially Fakiry's) and be a tad bit more conservative.

Thanks again.

Be carefull Carbon will be next on the list of the Justice Department, so not deposit such a large sum of money onto that site please, your money is not safe there.

Hi!!

Arithmajik, a site that accept US players are in the same situation of FTP, UB and Pokerstars on 14th april. Some day you will see the FBI logo when you open the web. The best you can do is have only the minimum $$ in the account for play in you level, and all the other money out of the site.

Now it depends how much you want to play there, if you can clear the bonus pretty fast then you should be okay or now Blink

If online gambling law would not appear in max 6 months that site could have problems too...

I think the security at all of them fine, but considering how best Black Friday or the amount of output and then who knows what. I hope of course that more these days like Black Friday in the poker world will not. Big Smile

Seems like there is a lot of concern about there being another black Friday v. 2.0 which I suspected. I have the very same concerns myself. I suspect I could clear the bonus pretty quickly, probably in a month or so (at least that's the hope) shouldn't take longer than 4 months for sure (If I'm lazy).

I think at least 6 months you are safe there, if you pass that limit you should cash out...

Usually DOJ starts investigations on sites after one or two years after they opened...

Good stuff, I'll hopefully b joining them. Actually I also just realized that Bank Roll Mob itself is offering a No Deposit Bonus there, which is in my mind a big credibility boost. Thanks a lot everyone I've come to rely on the wisdom of this forum when it comes to these matters.

Hi!!

By 'uncertain' I do not mean that the situation of Carbon will be equal to that of FTP rather to find a time without being able to have the money we have in the room. All of us expect Carbon (and any other site) are doing a best work with our money than FTP did it.

Bye!
