So last night I wanted to play a small session before going to bed. Opened like 20 SNGs or so (I dont count) and just played it down... Suddenly I got disconnected with 12 SNGs left, problem was obviously on my end since everything else like skype disconnected me as well Usually I have a backup stick for cases like this but it had no credit anymore =(
I emailed stars and asked for a refund because I saw them refunding a few people in the past that play relativly high volume.

Hello Kevin,
Thank you for your patience in waiting for our response regarding your tournament refund request.
The nature of the Internet is such that incidents like these can happen for reasons beyond both your and our control. In this case, I am able to confirm that your disconnections were not caused by our servers as at the time of your disconnection, the remaining players at your table continued to play without difficulty in your absence.
We have reviewed your playing history for the tournaments in which you were experiencing some connection issues:

It's obviously a limited thing,my advantage there was probably that I've played about 7.2K games on stars during the last 9 months and it was the first time happening
And well,it's kinda pointless to intentionally do that, first because you're not guaranteed to get refunded, and also if you do get refunded you get your buy in back, but not an extra

Posted by SuperNoob: i dont get why you asked for a refund when you knew problem was at your end. seems kinda unfair but thats just my opinion
So you're saying you'd miss out on money you can get, that others get as well? I understand what you mean for the casual player who plays like 20 SNGs per week or so,but people like me who grind properly (I'm not saying I'm a sick grinder or something, there are still people at these stakes playing double of my volume ) pay lots of rake,so obv. they want to have these people satisfied. You'd also be the first person not taking money that wouldnt hurt the other "party" at all,tbh Stars is the only site I know of that they'd do something like this, but if they offer it to some players to have them satisfied I see nothing unfair in taking the oppotunity
It's unbelievable ... i always thought that your connection is your matter ... They are the best in support for sure. $120 for PokerStars is nothing for them and they know they are making the customer happy.

I have VIP manager at PKR, he did so many things for me in the past. If i have a debatable thingy going on i just pass online support and go straigth to my manager, he never let me down.

That was one hell of a treatment. But as you state probably it has also to do with your gaming history there. Someone new with a couple of games history would have got a different treatment.

Posted by rbdflyboy: How does someone set up for that many tables? I mean equipment wise...the playing part...that wud b a another story.
I use tableninja as tool to shove all in by pressing 1 button,to have default bet sizes automaticly set up and other good stuff I also stack tables, really helps when multitabling. If you play with tiled tables you'll have to move your cursor through the whole screen, playing stacked is usually just "click, click, click" fold button and maybe raise once in a while I can play about 30 tables that way,I don't set myself a number of how many tables I'll play in a session,I just register for a while
As for the playing part,it's really not hard to me. It surely is an advantage that I've played video games for a few years before I started playing poker, that means my reaction time and thought processes are probably faster than of an "average" player, but it really didnt change my game at all. I used to play about 12 tables tiled, since I switched to stacking tables I can play much more. I usually have one stack with tables in early/midstage and then make a seperate stack for tables that are close to ITM play, those need extra attention of course (in terms of SNGs)

Hi guys.
No doubt. Pokerstars have the best costumer service. They are fast and effective. When they can not meet a reasonable request, they explain why and, above all, do not treat you like a child who does not know what it does (very common in other sites support).
