Heya Serpang. Im doing well as always, thanks for asking!!!. Ive been busier then normal lately yes but my poker patience has also deteriorated so ive slowed playing levels down a bit. I havent played much of my roll at Celeb poker lately either. Ive got a large yard and i love to grow stuff so cleaning garden beds and seeding the grass (i have a dog, luckily a male as a female does real damage to grass) was something i was glad to do while we had really warm weather for march.
I read an article on science.nasa.gov that the Sun's recent M-class flare sent enough heat into our upper atmosphere it could heat all of new york thru the winter. I am more then sure there is a correlation but every high brow ive asked says nope. Just business as usual. Ive never been able to open the pool in March before. Its above ground and freezes into a solid brick yearly and doesnt melt wholly until mid april and even then its crazy cold until late may. I was in my pool last week scrubbing things down and the water was warm. Also as i live close to a large lake im an avid ice fisherman and usually the season just gets underway in the new year but this year we all stopped driving onto the ice after a warm rain in february. Having open water so early when the ice usually freezes to 6-7 ft is pretty odd.
I know from watching "the sun today" on youtube. (highly recommend people see one episode. Mind blowing stuff to me) that we are in a Solar Maximum which is part of a 12 year cycle inside a 72 year cycle and we just started the most dynamic and active of all those cycles. Because the sun has such cycles im somewhat torn about Global Warming/cooling. I mean we havent really been tracking weather for a long time here in North America. So what may seem like a abnormally hot pack of years is really just typical in concert with the Suns cycles. If you use Europe because they have much deeper stats on weather dating back a surprisingly long time it shows these odd weather patterns are repeated. Always alighning with the Suns cycle. There was a time when the sun had less then 30 sunspots in an entire 12 year cycle. This time aligns with the cold years in europe during the 1700's. A guy named Stradivarius made instruments from wood grown during that time.
As you can tell im rife with speculation and amazement at the whole thing. Add to that my friends have all been bringing around beers and Hero has yet to adjust their clock to my timezone its just been really hard to stay focused. Since DST all the games are an hour later and it really clashes with my lifestyle. Im an early riser and i like to relax later in the day. Playing games that dont start until 9pm is a hassle to me.
I managed a couple good cashes recently but really havent moved up in a while. Today its colder then hell so i figure ill play a good session.

Nice Micro, take care of garden always sound nice for me And glad hear you start get nice season again weather really start change since last year. We get rain season full a year ! ( usually 6 month dry season ) and get flood every where, not fatal. but not nice. wow for a long time I never read science again and don't know actual issue, good you inform to me.
Hope see your great achievement in poker soon. it will be reinspiring and motivate me again

Actually PLO micro cash 6 handed is one of my only profitable games right now. I spent a good 5-7 hours playing it on the weekend to raise points for the 125k freeroll.
------------ What a month March has been. Ive been playing way less and with lowered enthusiasm lately. After 3 months of playing im starting to feel like i know a little more about variance then i did before said time. I know i write about beats a bit too often and i dont want to come off as better then anyone. Its just when you play alot of poker alot of good and bad things are gonna happen. I also compounded my run bad by becoming a payoff wizard. Ne ways ive managed to stay alive and with a healthy roll thruout the bad timeZ so i feel thats some consolation. Also i just managed to string together a couple deep runs in micro mtts to keep the machina going. Up until yesterday i was a big loser in the month of march and even more so compared with my early successes. Ive either been making really bad decisions in certain spots that left me short ITM or felted for a min cash or out of money entirely. Usually with a healthy enough stack to soak up some better money.
Last night was the perfect example. I go onto final table with ~150k. Just watching a few hands one player dives 3 times. K9, A7, KJ and i get AQd in SB and he dives for ~65k. I didnt want to call but i checked hand history and made sure it was the right player. I called and face KQ. river K and im down to 65K. Blinds being huge i play my next hand hard and find myself at 4k when i miss my flush. I get AQ again and dive utg+2 for 4500 into a 4k/8k blinds. I win the pot and end the hand just under 50k. next hand i play is on the BB with 88. utg dives allin for just under my stack and i call him. 55 vs my 88 and i hold. Then i started to record.
So today ill play my game the way i normally would but close to or near the money ill avoid confrontation even though i know those are easy chips in favor of longevity.
ill post my video shortly. its just a 7 minute final 4 w/ commentary.
------------ If it says 12 mins only dont worry its really 7 mins with 7 mins dead time ive since trimmed off but youtube needs to implement the change.

Read through your recent posts and and see you pay a little attention to our Mother Earths cycles and atmospheric changes. I must say this has been quite a calm Winter and based on the cycles I'm thinking we'll be having a cooler Summer. It may be a longer warm period, but overall the Summer should only be hot in late June thru July. I haven't seen playing on Merge network, but my play slowed down with the weather chage also. Can't believe I mowed 3 yards Monday (3/26/12) after a 9 hour work day, but got them done. As for poker I seem to have stablize for the biggest part, but on the liower side of the BR.
That's a pretty fine game you had going down to 4K. Funny how some of the best games turn out with a twist before one prevails. Always enjoy reading the blog so take care and good luck at all.

Yeah ive always been a big fan of climate or earth's eccentricities. obviously im a complete layman but still i like to watch lol.
I havent seen hide nor hair of you either. im just heading out now but ill add more in reply to what you wrote later tonight.

Ahhhhh yes it works, blinds 15K/30K, personally i wud push some more hands with these enormous pots. Cheers on winning it

I really was trying to prevent it turning into a shove match. If we play poker there and keep things manageable im really liking my chances.
Because up till then my showdown value was way better then theirs i could have turned the screws but i didnt want to risk getting outflopped or overextending myself in a pot that could go awry.

Today ill be online most of the day trying to make April a much better month then March. No matter what i need to find time to play enough games to qualify me for the 150k freeroll. at 250 vips earned this shouldnt be hard. Ive had bad luck with games going well then something coming up. I need to learn to plan better and organize my games more so i dont get pulled away.

Exactumundo Mac!!!! I need the motivation and id be lying if i said things on the home front didnt affect my play because it does and will always im sure of it. I have made the plo video but i need to render it at night when im sleeping because its long and will take an hour or two clogging up my pc's resources.
Yesterday was an odd day of play. I ran deep in a couple games but the big money eluded me. I also played in a 3$ rebuy game which sunk me over 10$. I managed to finish 9th in the .30cent mtt for a .90c payout. 2nd in the .50c game for a 9$ payout and 23rd in the 3$ DS game for 8$.
I did run deep in other games but found myself on the losing end just outside of the money. Yesterday HeroPoker rolled out some "new" freeroll games too. I say new but they are just renamed versions of the old 5$plo sng's. Now if you want to play the "new" versions u need to be a deposited user. Whereas the old version you did not. I circumvented this by uploading id to facilitate a withdrawal. Im sure if you wait too long this will be amended too.

Windows 7 is a no go for this pc im afraid. I have a much better laptop but the lady uses it for school and other crap nowhere near as important as micro stake poker.

So im back to it today. Ive been playing very rarely and with no real diiscipline lately. Ill try and play my usual games today (havent played a full day in ages) and hope for some good signs.
