I checked it out, and it seems as if my post in a thread was copied by some rumanian chick. But the fraud was not very well done, since the post was too short to render any points!
1 - 0 to the system!
But seriously, it would be a problem if it starts to grow since: A. The forum suffers. B: BRM probably doesn't like to be scammed, and in the end all points for posting will dissapear, just as the points for voting did.
However, I belive it is a policy not to pay out money for points that have been earned by people obviously posting just to get them. (I'm talking bout you, rumanian chick! The points you did not get for stealing my post will not be converted into cool cash!)

I doubt any spammer would ever stick around long enough to cash-out $50 anyway.. They probably think they've come up with some genius way of getting free money.. Then at some point they'll realize the actual time commitment involved to reach 5,000 points and they'll give up long before..

I'm fairly new here, and have been surprised at the LACK of spamming for points, I can gather it used to be a big problem but from my experience looks like the admin keep on top of it. I never really have anything of merit to say anyway, so i might fall in to the category of spamming. Or at least stretching out posts to appear like i have something of value, if not interest, to wax lyrical to all you fine people at BRM, in closing, here's a short passage from my favourite book that i first read back in 2003, it was a fine summer's day but i was trapped inside with a broken leg and a wheelchair full of envy etc etc etc.

LOL..best summon the Boss Admin , some say his ban hammers hatchet is made out of Chuck Norris's intestines and eats Bhut Jolokia chili peppers for desert, all we know is he is called Fat Tony.
Such a shame after winning a $330 ticket, I hope he passes on user details to PP as they all seam to have an account there.

I'm thinking that a lot of these cut and pasters do it because they don't know how to spell (or use a spell checker). Possible they are too lazy to come up with an original thought worth expressing.... don't really know, just taking a shot in the dark.

You get mob points for posting. 5000 mob points can be traded for 50$ on a poker site or on moneybookers. So in effect BRM pays its members for posts. However, your posts need to be a certain length to make points. I don't think it's ever been made clear what the conditions for counting posts are, but the point is that you shouldn't post for points anyway.
It's like this. BRM rewards us for being active in the forum. But you can't spam yourself into money. Posting everyday for points is hard work. Being part of the forum is fun and the points come naturally. if you don't keep tabs it will seem like brm rewards you more.
