3rd time the luck?l  0
Not rly... 3rd time today in BRM freerolls for leaderboard i get outdrawn by "1 out-er" and trown out of late stage of tournament. I isolate 1 player with betting he re-raises i shove all-in as i m holding A-K. Guy calles with A-8 and hits the 8. 2nd time same situation he re-raised i shove holding A-Q. Guy calls holding A-7 near the bubble (10 000 chips lmao i have 12 000) and hits 2 7s. I hit nothing. 3rd time cant even remember but was same situation. Rly frustrating since i think i did nothing wrong in those 3 tourneys or did I ?!

Just had to type it somewhere to feel better about wasting my time. Cheers.

think about how many times your A-K/Q beat A-rags in order to get to the late stage, then stop complaining.

i had same on stars yesterday this russian guy was on 3k me on 21k in 3 hands gone lol ak v a8,
qq v k5 and aa v45 lol all 3 hands he pushed all in pre lol this was within 6 hands in all ....
online poker is a rip off and supports idiots...

canadian so obviously 1 of the donks continuously rewarded

4th one: called it bad vs chip leader and gave him 25k with a-10 he had JJ. No ace for my donk play Big Smile

Now i chilled a bit but rly seems so many times these things happen. In a long run tho it s still rewarding so i guess i should play more conservative or something to avoid pushing after re-raise. Maybe some advice from more experienced player?

This are very common stories from freerolls that we hear about everyday...

The truth is that freerolls are played this way and they involve luck a lot more than on cash games for example.

I cant understand why you felt the need to shove with AK. Why didn't you flat call and then let it go after the flop once you missed...

Too many people shove all in with AK and miss, then wonder why they've been screwed. Its one of the most common mistakes people make and one that no one seems ever to learn from.

I never re-raise with AK unless by calling I am going to put in over 1/2 my stack. If its more than half that I need to flat call then I shove all in and take the risk, but otherwise I flat call, and depending on the flop I will either go gung ho or let it go and pick a better spot.

Sadly too many people see an ace with a high picture and feel the need to risk absolutely everything when they don't actually need to.

UPDATE: 4th time same tournament on pokerstars: i waited 12 mins for a good hand after my 3 bb raise with QK suited got re-raised all-in by 3 people AFTER ME. After those 12 minsi get dealt A-K. Guy in early position goes all in with half of my stack. I m in middle position raise all-in to prevent others. Guy in bb calls me with A3 off. Hits a 3 and i m out. WTF IS THIS !! 4th time today.

@Fcumred - On previous 3 situations it was on the bubble with very big blinds so every re-raise is 3rd or half of my stack. But i think you are right so i ll try to do the same more often. This was my usual play when re-raised with A-K, KK, QQ, JJ, 100 and sometimes A-Q, A-J.
But dont know how it ll work with big blinds. If i play conservative with low-stack on the bubble i have rly rly low shot to take 1st or 2nd spot in a tourney. At least i thought so i ll try different route.

Cheers, thx for sharing anyways. Thumbs Up

There are some times that even 3d try is exactly the same as the previous 2.
This Monday had my pocket aces cracked 3 out of 3 in heads up all in.
Two of them were in the same site.
I took the day off from playing poker after that Smile

LOL and i m complaining Big Smile

That s just too much. Well 5th one starting now gonna try to play smarter.

UPDATE: ok 5th tournament. 34 minutes i waited. Blinds 40/80. I get 3 ppl before me calling i call with A-Q in BB. Flop comes Qh 7s Js . "No-action" comes to me i make a small bet. 2 folds 1 calls. I put him ok K-J and lower or flush draw, that sort of thing. Turn comes 5s. I decide to end the action on turn so he doesnt get lucky with flush etc... I bet and he goes all-in. You could argue if i m pot comited or not but why would i fold if i put him on something. I pay and he shows J-9 (WFT JACKASS i m like yeah donk c ya monkey) river brings him 9 and i m searching youtube for my CALMING SONG cause i m nowhere near nirvana to say the least. So there i am with 960 in chips.
As i was writing this i doubled up with A-A to 1700 hand after it i got A-J and got trown out by A-Q.

Gonna stop my whine now since i realized i play like a monkey and gonna work on it i guess. Cheers and gl to all.

It would seem to me that you are going through one of those mysterious phases on PS where no matter what hand you have, you are gonna get screwed..

I swear if I picked up a royal flush someone would hit 5 of a kind.....

It really does seem to go that way, and no matter what you do, you just know your luck isn't going to happen... Its at times like this that I wish FUll Tilt was still around because if PS screwed me I'd move over to FTP for a few weeks, don't give PS a cent and wait for FTP to screw me, then move back to PS and hope they've moved onto some other poor sucker...

You really had bad day ( unlucky ). I had it many time and couldn't find solution except stop play poker for 2 or 3 days. Maybe just real expert could win at their unlucky day.

om previous 3 situations..... I am not agree with Fcumred. If our stack below 20 x BB we at fold or all in situation. That's not mean we always go all in with best hand, depend on feeling.

The best way is BRM have real expert to give us coaching, lol.

BAD BEAT UPDATE: Well as you can see i reached 6th in a row on pstars same situation. That continued with 3 more same situations. Also 5 mins ago on HPP BRM KK vs QQ hits a queen and i m out on the BUBBLE yet again.

BUT

2 days ago won one freeroll on HPP (finnaly) and placed 2nd in another. Bought in for 5.50e tournament and doubled it to 11e. Then went on to win 0.80$ for 26e placed 4th and 6th in 2.2e and 4.4e and now am close to 100e. I guess good play pays off finnally. And i sucked out as well when i won the tournament with AJ vs AQ and AK hit a straight and took an easy win later on with huge stack. It s good to be back finnaly on "normal" poker. I forgot how it was like. Worship
Just need to crack that damn BRM freeroll now Confused

I guess you just need to play normal and it ll pay off eventually. I ran so bad i lost all confidence in my play. Next time i ll just take a look at this thread and stop crying.

p.s. Need to find a guy SickOfItAll (nickname), promised him for a beer when he didnt stole my blind in first tournament for last ITM spot Big Smile

Cheers. Thx for being my therapist, here s a nice pic:
