I've been thinking about it lately, and wondering why I always seem to get rivered, and actually I've come up with a devious plan..
All too often I will see the flop / turn and before it gets to the river I know what cards are going to screw me.. and I always end up saying "NO ACE.. NO ACE.. NO ACE" or "NO JACK.. NO JACK" only to find the twat hits his gutshot straight draw for 90% of his stack, or his AK will miraculously hit the ace on the river beating my pocket Ks...
So what I've decided to do from now on is reverse the psychology and see if PS actually continues to listen and does the complete opposite of what I want them to do..
From now on if I've gone all in with top set and they have a 3 high flush draw, then I am gonna shout "HIT THE FLUSH.. HIT THE FLUSH.. HIT YOUR F*****G FLUSH"
When I've hit my flush and he's got top set I am gonna yell "PAIR THE GOD DAMN FRIGGING BOARD"
Hopefully, knowing PS, they will do exactly the opposite of what I am shouting and therefore I'll make a fortune winning every all in situation.. They seem to lover doing exactly the opposite when I tell them what cards I don't want to see, so why not the other way around..
I'll now tell them exactly what I don't want to see, and they will do the opposite and I'll win every time..
Strategically, u want to get your money in with certain hands before the river (AA,KK,AK). In a lot of situations, u will be certain your hand is way ahead before the river. In any regard, your advice is just that.....Jibberish.

yes because getting your stack in when your way ahead for a massive pot is such a bad thing in poker must remember this
Depend on habit of opponent I think. There is fold possible or not. What for all in before river ? You want win big pot or hope you opponent fold ? If want big pot should be have best hand,right ? ready to loose if not

i know you want your money in, but if u cant handle being sucked out on, then stop doing it, it would save a lot of these 50000000000 different threads all complaining about how they lost a hand.

I started doing the same "tactic" some time ago (have to say I find it funny) and am glad you wrote it down: now even if I feel a bit dumb I know I am not alone
sometimes happens they hit what I am "wishing" to hit and ask myself if time has come to come back to the old "tactic"......it's an Hamlet-like dilemma

Im sry m8 but it wont work. u see, the thing about reverse psychology its not what u do, its what u think ur doing lol. in this case ull wish for the guy to hit the flush, straight, trips, etc but u know that ur wishing it so it doesnt happen... well then... if u dont want it to happen it will happen... thus beating ur strategy down. That is a great strategy, but not for online poker. I believe that, in a couple of weeks, you will come up here with a new forum telling everybody how good you are in guessing the cards that show up on the river and that you are thinking about investing a lot in lotteries and stuff like that. Oh, it’s so hard to accept when we lose…
