Life when oil runs dry...  0
I just watched this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1503769/ ( http://www.disclose.tv/action/viewvideo/37886/collapse_... )
Something to think about, as much as I like David Icke this guy does not come across as a loon ball, speaks a lot of sense and credited.

I would love to hear comments, my personal view is he is banging the nail right on its head, though I don't think things will be as epic as made out to be, but can see how it could easily happen, and at the speed it can happen, and the fact it is happening.

Nuclear Energy will eventually supply 100% of the worlds power, so I do not see a problem Thumbs Up

LOL, perhaps I should not have mentioned David Icke, yes he did say that, but it is taken out of context, he is a loon ball, but if you read between the lines on some of the things he says he is right.
Anyway the vid is not of him, its by a guy called Michael Ruppert, not a loon ball.

How does Nuclear Energy produce oil based materials, milling, machinery, plastics...the list is endless, look around and see what around you is via oil.
But yes I do agree, it will be our main source of power.

I learned in Environmental Sciences the geothermal energy from the sun for one second at high noon over one square mile provides enough energy to sustain our current energy needs for over 4000 years.

Ill give you one guess who owns the patent? Did you know that N Tesla invented the radio? Did you also know that was a byproduct of him trying to create a wireless power supply technology. Technically wi-fi for batteries. This patent was purchased by J.P Morgan when he bankrupted Tesla via years of contested patents tying up all his resources. Tesla had created a tower in lower manhattan where he claimed using induction electricity he could send power up to 20 miles away with no wires.

coincedentally "the prestige" is on fox right now. i do strongly suggest to all interested in sustainable energy to download N.Tesla's ebook of notes. This mans legacy has yet to be revealed in full detail and for a very good reason. lol hugh jackman just asked "wheres the wires?"

i knew this was gonna get real deep real quick. Its a self fullfilling prophecy. Nuclear is not sustainable. anything with a radioactive byproduct with a halflife of 500 years min isnot sustainable. When there is a melt down its just that. the radioactive cores actually melt down thru the earths crust and continues either until it is stopped. which can only be done within hours of the incident or they just fill the hole with concrete and hope the problem never resurfaces. In japan for example they never had the chance to detonate the 4 meltdowns because they waited a week to even confirm one meltdown let alone all 4. In chernobyl they actually did detonate the core as it slipped thru the earth but they have no clue if it worked. so they cemented it up. As someone who lives on a lake where the Victims of Chernobyl vacation yearly thru charities i can honestly say that stuff is still deforming babies and killing people. Its not old people who come here every year.

In the usa there were 6 reactors this summer alone that nearly melted down due to a loss of power as a result of floods. im telling you, as someone who has seen children who never had a chance. nuclear isnt worth it. id rather ride a electric bike thru hell then allow this kind of legacy.

Thats true B1gfoot, but it is also true that if you really look into each item on a list of everything that is made from oil, almost ALL of them can made from other materials. Plastics for example, can be made from corn oil.

I watched a program about this a few months back on Discovery Channel I think, so If im wrong then its not my fault, the TV is lying to me?????? ..... NEVER! Big Smile

LOL, you are worse than me, but not of trying, he actually did create a wireless network, it lost funding after energy companies realised it is to east to tap into.
Edison was a crude business man and stole a lot of work, but not the only one, all the greats were at it, inventing and owning a patient are different things, I guess if you know someone in the patent office you are going to do well. Aww crap!
Well, I would normally guess Shell(Royal Dutch) as they own a hell of alot in the way of energy sources, but its Mitsubishi, I believe they have one on nuclear energy too, also we can produce all the worlds energy from the sea.

corn oil would take up too much space for demand, but synthetic oil could be a way out.

Nuclear could be safe, but not now, and if we build now to provide for in 15 years time then by the time it is safe we could have harnist natural energy, but it comes down to $ so risk it will be.
The way government(s) want to deal with wast is to ship it to the moon, as to pay off its very expensive(hence it gets given back) the fear it 1 rocket blowing up is a world wide disaster.

Disasters happen, thats part of life. Has there not been an oil slick or two that killed a few birds over the years?

Chernobyl was very nasty, do you mean desendants of the people who lived there during the disaster? or parents living there still who are having babies? either way durex could solve that problem, I would never have a baby if it had a high chance of being deformed, thats just cruel.

ACTUALLY! I will disagree with my last statement, after reading it back, its kinda stupid. Using that arguement, we could blame african parents in countries where children are starving for having babies they cant afford to feed!

Sometimes people write really stupid stuff on forums.

Angry @ myself.

He speaks of many topics and has confirmed many of the misdirections I suspected to be taking place at the time. At the very least the man is not dogmatic as what he has said proves out over time. He gives very good advice...back to basics is what I get from him, one way or the other. It is true there are less than 50 yerars left before the planet runs out of oil. Don't think I'll be round to see it all and if people think they're having trouble now...just wait. He's been right too many times and no one wants to hear it anymore. I was pleased when he did not fall into the religion trap. Most people do and again everything gets skewed by the BS. Believe what one wants to believe, maybe it's time to take off the rose colored glasses.

Not rly. As i heard Germans are getting rid of it meaning everyone else that matters will follow. I see future in Solar and wind power. There is so much possibilities it s just the fact that researches havent been funded at all cause it wasnt needed. But there are endless possibilities on producing energy.
As soon as for example car manufacturers droped few bucks on alternative fuels you got - electric car, H2 car, all kinds of bio crap....

@topic - Watch out ppl 2012 DOOMSDAY IS COMING I SAID IT FIRST... oh wait?

Just my 2 cents.

That is true for sure..but the likes of this figure comes from estimates, and to add insult, global oil reserve estimates are fictional.
We have no idea how much we have, because it doesn’t pay to tell the truth when it comes to oil, OPEC regulated sales by saying the more you have in the ground, the more you’re allowed to sell so all the sudden everyone found billions of barrels over night, but oddly all are producing less and stock piles go up along with consumption, it doesn’t serve politics either, which is why no government questions the figures, we just flex muscles now and then.
My guess is 10 years until the point that there is no hiding the lies.

I know the "dirty" oil sands got plenty and we sell cheap. Hopefully the Keystone XL pipe wont be built and we will be forced to refine our own oil and sell it unfortunately for more to China. O well.

The options are really all there and very viable. Natural Gas, Solar, Wind, Sea, Oil, Geothermal, nuclear. It seems to me bad business to move onto the next plate when there is anything left to sell on this one.

I blame greed and ignorance for all our problems. Greed on the merchants and ignorance by the consumers.

People are already eligible for federally subsidized solar panels and within the next year the Provincial government is expected to announce all new homes must have solar panels offsetting some of their usage. Farmers have outfitted their barns with either arrays or panels and sell energy back to the grid. They get 6c/kw while it costs the Ontario Government 9c/kw to produce so they figure its cheaper to have us produce it.

The more you dig the more you find. People want things to be this way like our friend in the video says. The options are out theer and the only thing stopping us is our "gullible mind". Everyday i read about things like solar panels and geothermal heating and air conditioning. So sure they use the stuff but nothing is to make our life easier. its to find a new product to charge us for.

i just deleted a wack of type due to how off topic i eventually get with it.

------------
I think im gonna dodge this thread for a bit. I firmly believe the state of things are desirable to the people in charge. If i keep going im gonna have many people upset at me and i never came "here" for that.

But im pretty sure i just dinged my 50 posts so i can vote now Thumbs Up

Yes that is true about Germany. Merkel our leader was for neclear untill that happened inJapan. Where she said that if it could happen to them who have such high security standards it can happen to anyone. So Germany is moving away from nuclear.I´ve always been against it , just alone because the waist needs 10 000 years before it is no longer dangerous.
