hard to say wich one not to recommend.

but I would recommend Pokerstars for new players because:

+ they have got many good Freerolls every day and affordable Beginner Tables, it´s easy to find a table that suits your bankroll
+ they offer many game types like: Holdem, Omaha, 7 Card Stud, Draw, Razz, Badugi ...
+ a Pokerschool
+ good online Documentation of their promotions
+ a fast and qualified customer support (they even discuss technical issues or strategy topics with you, if you like)
+ all common payment methods are accepted, identity verification is fast and easy, cashouts are reliable and fast
+ nice table themes, you can even use your individual ones
+ a large player base, easy to find a "good" table
+ updates are automatically and reliable
+ high game security and rng standards

- I am losing there at the moment .... might be my fault, hehe.

In the law of large numbers Pokerstars can be chaotic. Currently on Merge with only roughly 8-10k players on my hero poker client i see the same players all the time. after only 2 weeks i feel i have a good handle on some players. Stars doesnt allow this. you may see a few names from time to time but with 5000 players in every game you wont be making friends or much of an image.

Pokerstars is eventually where i want to be because of the overages but at low stakes your playing against such varied opponents in terms of skill. because everyone plays there its really hard to get any handle let alone read.

obviously this is just my opinion. gl with whatever site you choose to enjoy.

forgot to mention: if you aren´t a PS member yet then now it´s a very good time to register by the BRM promotion. They offer up to 600$ Bonus on the first deposit. Wish I had the luck when I registered there.

I would recommend going to play live.
You have no software problems.
No one is out playing you due to software.
You don't have to buy software to make a even field.
You are a part of the game, online is quite detached.
People want to have fun, online its a silent grind.
You can't claim rigged.
You get real tells, completely lost online.
The true art of poker is lost online.
You play with real money, puts the game in to perspective.
Live poker is real poker, online is a game of math.

Agree with Doberhain on that it's hard to pick out sites you should avoid as a beginner. Party is a good spto though, I got my start on ipoker and I did alright by just learning to play cash games properly with a hand chart. Once I got the handle on that I started improving other aspects.

Give them, Titan, or William Hill a go.

My advice for new players would be to choose a big platform in order to have a good table selection...

And yes, nowadays really the biggest and better online poker platform out there is pokerstars Blink

Am I misssing something? Or, is it an issue for U.S. citizens to play at Pokerstars? Just curious since the last time I tried to play on their site all I could play was, playmoney. Maybe I better get back there and see what's up. Good Luck to All!

I would suggest not to play High Pulse or other poker sites like Betsharks. They are new and in my opinion very inexperienced, so stick with trustworthy sites like Pokerstars.

ahh cool thanx for the tip I´ll check Betsharks right away. I love these small sites. good freerolls

PS is always a good starting point, most of the ipoker sites are decent as well as party poker. 888 poker is one of the fastest growing sites and caters towards more casual players.

Most sites to stay away from are smaller independant sites since they are not established or trustworthy. A lot of negative feedback in regards to Everest Poker.

Mmmm, well I certainly wouldn't recommend Full Tilt, but I think that goes without saying haha.

On a serious note, I've heard nothing but bad press about High Pulse, and I personally had a really bad experience with 777 so I wouldnt recommend them.

Hi guys!!

For new players the best sites are the more smaller and sites with NDB options, in my opinion. With some hours (or lots) in that kind of sites is time to go for the biggest.

I've tried every site. (iPoker/merge/entraction etc etc.)

Only sites I would recommend are:

Pokerstars/PartyPoker/PKR.

I am glad to see that we agree on this.

Forget online and go live and LIVE Big Smile

Try out a few no deposit bonuses at some of the sites affiliated with Bankrollmob, and you will have an inexpensive way to check them out. In general I would avoid having too much money on some of the smaller unknown sites, as they can disappear sometimes. But in general sites like Pokerstars, PartyPoker, iPoker sites, PKR and 888 are good places to play. GL!

Agreed as well. Very different live and a lot of other elements come into play.
