wouldnt the hand be null and void as he exposed his cards?
but if not then i would ofcourse go All In, he hits an A or a K and im screwed but whats the difference if its at the beginning or at the final table? the odds are still the same.

hahah thats a good point about the final table or beginning but if its at teh beginning of the match you dont want to lose right away and whereas if its at the final table your already ITM (in the money) so its not that big of risk..
thats a good question tho.. but your a slight favorite with any pir and poker is all about going in with the best hand, so i would do it.... but if i was sb and only bb left i would go all in before him and make him decide what to do lol

hmm... I'd have to go with everyone else here. Get in with the best hand and hope he doesnt catch any helpful cards. Then you've got quite a nice start to a big tourney !

yea starting with double the stack than anyone else would definitely be a good start to sucha huge tournament like you said lol but it would be a terrible walk away from the table if his a or k hit lol
i have to disagree if i was in a 10k buy in tourney i would not want to take the 4 percent advantage in the first hand, if i had 10 bb or less and this was near the bubble its an instant call, the reason i say this is because i feel even if i did start with a double stack, in the majority of tournaments you have to have some preflop races before you are itm, but i would rather have them deep into the tourney were winning them will mean something to my outcome, as opposed to early where i can get an advantage but im still not gauranteed all that much.

yes same answer as me you are obviously a good poker player why risk the 4% at the start when you know you could wait for a better advantage further on in the tourney

I would lay down QQ easily. Beginning of the tournament, definately not risk my survival based on a coin flip; luck. If poker is indeed a game of skill, I would wait for a better situation where I could actually use the skill factor.

nah, wouldn't bet it. just too much at risk, both his cards are higher than your pair, plus its suited. no call for me on this one, anyway the games just getting started
