hi guys, im new on this forum, and in poker world and stuffs like that.. so i need help
what do you guys do when you are playing against one, two, or even three players, you are first to act and the flop comes, e.g. 2 diamonds and ace of spades, you have an ace and you bet, turn comes a diamond... what do you do then? i really hate that turn card when it completes flush... i usually continue betting but i dont know if its the best choice there, maybe check? sorry for my english and thanks Big Smile

The best I can come up with is....it depends on the situation. who what where when why???? chip stacks, cash or tourney? agghh players habits?? how many players at the table. early/middle/late tourney? the list goes on.

why dont you have the suited ace flush draw? eg AKd flop 10d Jd Ac. thats when ya wanna bet your ace...haha Aww crap! Confused

Most bad player tend to overplay their flushes (bet a lot), so a check might give you the information you need. Also, you can go in "check/call mode" when you don't want to fold or make the pot too big on a hand you don't want to go all-in with.

But yeah it depends how the other player plays, if hes aggressive or not, if hes loose or not, stack sizes etc. A lot of things to consider in this kind of situation. Sometimes, you have to rely on your read, instinct or whatever you call it Blink

There is a lot what I can do in this situation every time i can make different decision because you cant play board in poker. U must play against players and see what they may have ! Good Luck

That's always going to happen and based on the other players. that is how well you know how they play or been playing. Sometimes a check and play the follower., other times you may want to make a mid-bet then observe. A lot is based on so many items, your BR, position and of course as mentioned how the other players react. This will always vary aas to what would be the best "next play". Good Luck to you and all!

w/out more information into how the hand developed to get at that point im afraid to say. considering playing hand range shown by other opponents pre hand and to what type of raises and such goes along way.

Personally in my play id typically be leading already if i decide to play an ace. Making it unlikely if they called to have high suited although not out of the question. I therefor lead with a pot sized bet letting the cat outta the bag on what i have. I would then fold to any player who has exhibited some solid show downs if reraised. I recommend having a j or better kicker bc another ace could also be playing u. This is in micro stakes mind you so most are weak opponents but u can run into anything. Odds are with you here i believe though.

Not too many information to start with in cases like this is best to check than to bet for pot control...

There is no reason to continue to invest in that hand as long as you are sure that you have the winning hand Blink
