I got a real awesome hand to recall actually. Okay i was playing yesterday in the $1 dollar dazzler $2750 guaranteed like a fellow mobber suggested and i was running really well. At one point i had got 99 and with an allin and a call before me i folded and was upset to see both had AK and a nine was on flop. The next hand i got 77. the same thing happened. Except this time i flopped 77A and i wasnt even in the pot and both players had AQ. So there i am with 44 the VERY next hand. I was first in chips and in no danger of being out, utg makes a 3 bb raise and the same guy who has shown AK and AQ moves allin for the third hand in a row. I dont know if i really knew id hit that 4 or if i knew i was made and they werent but i moved allin also. Picking up two callers before it even got to the original raiser i was now sure i needed that 4. It ended up being a 5 person pot and i had the only MADE hand. Needless to say i hit my 4 and was catapulted even further into the lead.

From that point i decided to play nit poker and kept adding to my stack. When the final 2 tables were left i noticed in lobby someone had double me in chips and as i was checking often it must have been one hell of a hand since i was so far ahead.

Id add his/her name but google makes it problematic so needless to say i decided the player was a bomb and someone i should avoid. This killed me. When the tables came together he had a 5/1 lead over me who had a 5/1 lead over the field. i think it was roughly 7 million him. 2 million me and 500k spread around. The player kept raising 3 bb everyhand and miraculously always had the hand when called. When he didnt his raise was putting people to the point of shoving with K high and he would clean em up with whatever he had. He busted AA with AK, QQ with K5 and ect. I avoided him pretty well and only folded twice where i knew i was ahead and wasnt willing to risk my stack. Both those times i saw the hand and would have held and been paid out. Finally i picked up AK and being card dead and seeing shoves with Q high by people playing for their lives i decided i dont care if he raised 3bbs on me and pushed. He snapped and showed JJ and held. Out in 6th i was upset with myself. I had played his game and he won. I then watched 5th and 4th go out with a smile since they were so much lower then me in chips and because he had my chips the others were huge dogs. Within minutes it was heads up and over.

Wow that was alot of lead up to my main point. Which is in fact todays game. So there i was sitting in first again with the break just over and no more funny rebuy business to worry about and who gets moved to the left of me? only the Exact same guy the whole paragraph above is about. I was stupified. I hadnt thought enough about last night to be ready for this. Sure i knew enough about his style to know he was a bomb and to be avoided but he had top ten stack and i knew his play style would confound mine. I decided then and there to trap him. No doubt about it i was going to have to wait until i had a real hand and i was going to have to slow play it and it could go terribly.

We get down to 21 players left for the crucial moment. I pick up AK and have been handcuffed by the gorilla in the room who is STILL betting 3-3.5 bb's every hand and winning more then he's losing. Of note is also the fact i feel i have a strong table image. I get folded to ALOT. So im in small blind and somewhere along the line we moved tables and im now acting one after the bomb. Its 6 handed and gets folded to him. The blinds are 5k/ 10k and this wise guy makes it 60k My first clue. Where he usually bets standard 3-3.5 bb's he has now bet 6x's the bb. He feels his hand is strong. He has a PP im thinking. I flat call. Instantly i know he knows i have a premium hand because im simply not perceived as someone who flats with anything less there. BB folds and was likely smiling because the top two stacks are tossing haymakers. Flop comes A92all clubs. I got him. He's better and he's scary but boy do i know i got him. I check. he waits. checks. WTF? he didnt just check. Turn comes 7 and makes for 4 clubs. I am treading in dangerous grounds but i am confident on my original read and check. He dives for the whole pie and i pull the rope and Boom i got him.

The move not only cemented a top 5 finish save catastrophe but im positive it knocked out my real competition and gave me increadible confidence knowing i just felted a guy solely because of my read and patience. I then adopted his tactics and shoved my way thru all the hesitant players.

I never meant to ramble on here but i always write down things only to feel boastful or arrogant and then not post them in my blog but i think nothing helped me more then reading such things.

Serpang the one strategy ive been relying on during my run of late is gambling. Where i would fold down AQ to a raise allin final table now im calling if my stack allows and i am not in trouble of being out. I am also adhering strictly to hand starting postion but only in early stages until i build a stack enough to be able to gamble.

120$

I have never made a deposit nor a ndb at hero poker.com and with advice given me by jibberish i started playing the $5 plo 24 player sng freerolls. They roll 3 games around the clock and once one ends another starts and they are free to play (country rest apply). 1st is $2.50 and 4th is $.50. The freerolls are numerous and pay out cash and vouchers or T$ equivalent. If you are a woman then you have no excuse as they have twice the games to play for free. Which is semi bs because id wager my roll more then half are men playing as girls to be eligible for more freerolls.

Be warned the plo game is a nut game. Its likely one of the hardest games but after some tries you should be able to identify the players and the played.

The easiest money and one you are sure to win eventually would be the $99 mtt freeroll. Its usually around the 150 player mark and top 9 get $11. Alternatively ive given up even playing a game called $100 triumvirate freeroll. Its typically a larger field then the $99 and only top 3 places pay. $50 for 1st. 30 for 2nd and 10 for 3rd. Ive given up because i am sick of making it to final table only to lose and feel horrid about my time invested.

Congrats MicroMachina, looks like you found your golden egg chicken! Keep up the good work. Winning a 166 field with a $1 buy-in can be seen as something too little to be celebrated this way but I consider you just had a great victory, and hope I can also win something looked like that to come here share with all the mobsters!

Congratulations Micromachina! I read through your posts in this thread, and appreciate some of the personal insight you have shared with us. As someone who is trying to get back my MTT mojo after a couple of years absence, I really appreciate the effort it takes to be destroying with these large fields and low buy ins. Keep it up and keep reporting back. Thumbs Up

WHAT EVER ROOM YOU PLAY JUST BE SURE NOT TO PLAY AT POKERSTARS,,,BECAUSE IT IS SOOO COMPUTER RIGGED,,LIKE THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO SUCK IN 2 OR 3 PLAYERS INTO A FLOP THEN THEY ALL GET A GOOD PCS OF THE FLOP TO SUCK YOU IN THAT MUCH MORE,THE COMPUTER IS SET UP TO MATCH UP WITH THE PLAYERS CARDS IN PLAY BECAUSE THAT LEDS TO BIGGER POTS THAT LED TO BIG RAKES FOR THE HOUSE,,,I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THIS FOR A WHILE AND I HAVENT BEEN PLAYING JUST WATCHING HOW PLAYERS GET SUCKED WITH GREAT CARDS TO LOSE TO A SHITY HAND BECAUSE THE COMPUTER IS SET UP TO MATCH THE CARDS IN PLAY,,,AND THE HOUSE MAKES BIG RAKES,,,,JUST GO THERE AND WATCH FOR YOUR SELF,

interesting ways to build your bankroll from zero- i always like when a poker room offers a decent chance for the non depositing community to get involved in the real money play one way or the other- will check that room just for the interest- and congrats on your win Winner

I totally understand what you mean but ive never won a mtt in real money and had this happened weeks down the road i wouldnt have posted it. These should all go into my blog with in-depth analysis by me and others who wish to add insight so i could show my strategy and how i employ it.

procrastination has thwarted me again but most importantly these are merely a sign to others starting with nothing but wishing to play and make something of your roll can be accomplished.

I also would like to take the time to ask some of the vets and better players around here to post some mtt's and maybe a blurb about hands. Running into that bomb has dramatically changed my approach on late game mtt's and i feel for the better. He never said a word but his play spoke volumes and im almost convinced 3 bb bets everyhand when you are more then double your next opponent is the right play but lack confidence enough to fully employ it.

I fold AJ AQ and AK alot in mtt's. Ive also folded every pair imaginable at some point. To me they are called mirage hands.

Example; i pick up AJ +1 utg. I know one player is calling any raise he can afford while the BB only calls with made hands or maybe AK. he's folded AQ to my AK already once and showed me. I raise 3x bb and sure enough the loose player flats me. The bb also waits a noticeable time before flatting. the flop comes AJ10. Whoa. top two aint bad but what does that BB have. BB checks. defcon 3. I am leading and have my stack allows for a comfortable heat check so i send out a 1/2 pot bet. Costly if im not winning this hand but nothing i can't get away from. The loose player flats. damn. he has somepart of something bcause although he is loose calling a bet on flop is only something he does when he feels confident with his hand. The BB shoves allin and its 3 times the pot. I fold happily. The loose player calls and shows a straight. The BB shows JJ. turn is Q and turn is 10.

Insults start flying. the loose player is crying about it being f'n rigged while the tight player is calling the other a donk for calling with Q high to such a large bet and from a tight player. I giggle and say "nh". To me this hand played itself. I am happy with either player winning. Either the loose player wins and the better player is out with the worse of the two holding the chips or the tighter player wins and i have to move to steal more knowing what i do.

So sure the game is rigged. its rigged to give experience an edge. Ive folded AA in a very late stage simply because 4 others were already in the hand. i was middle of pack in chips and guaranteed to make money if i folded. My aces did hold that hand but i am happy with my decision.

Now obviously i can't stop you from posting here friend but please be a dear and tap that cap locks key next time. I also would like to stress how much a clear mind helps. Dont bring emotional baggage from past games into your current games.
