Was bored so decided to do a little experiment, 100 SnG's at micro, 1.2$ stakes, DOUBLE UP's. Started with 10$, multi tabled hard and finished with 30 $ total, now sure, the final count should have been higher if i was serious all the time, but that is not the topic now.
The topic is and i am going to use caps lock for added drama effect, lol - WHY DO THEY TAKE 20% FEE FOR MICROS?
In the 1.2$ and 2.4$ their fee is 20 percent, but that is not all because it is actually 30 percent.. How?
Because you invest 1.2 dollars, which is 3 thirds (3/3) to win 80 cents which is two thirds (2/3)
A great theft and to whom? To the little guy, the one that is just starting, crushing his spirits since he has to win 2 when he loses one just to be +0.40$ which is silly.
To me that is very very bad and i don't see any purpose to it. What do you think?
------------ P.S. Forgot to mentioned, if the fee was 10% like it should have been, on those 100 SnG's i should have won another 10$ which is 100% of my starting bankroll for that experiment.
Injustice! lol I know Everest poker has 10% fee even for micros, but they only offer 10 player NON TURBO double ups..

Noup, everst has 3$ turbo and 0.5$ turbo, the 1$ is just regular 10 man, the only variation is OMAHA and Holdem.
Agreed not a good way to increase ones bankroll. If I'm looking to add fpp's...I find these an alternative to sitting at the micro tables where the variance could be much higher. Depends on what my goal is.

they are one of the few networks allowing US players. they hav many sites, most famous being carbon, hero and RPM similar traffic to everest but software is better
For example, if you deposit $600.00 by using the CarbonPoker Bonus Code, you will automatically receive $5 in FREE cash every time you accumulate 375 VIP points (75 VIP Pts for every $1).
Am i just bad in match or is that 100% rake/fee back? 5 US for 375 points.. 75 VIP pts = 1$. 75x5=375?

i think u missed this-
"CarbonPoker would like to advise that the 'Refer-A-Friend' promotion is currently NOT available, but will be returning with an all new and improved program. Please check back for further details."
and u misread welcome bonus- 1$ rake = 10 VIP points on average u get 1$ bonus credited for every 75 points you earn

The likes of PS have plenty of mid-high players not to care about the low-micro. RB on any site @30% and its $.14 fee, still to high IMO but not all sites are 20% fee, I don't think anyway. Also I think 6 man are cheaper.

I hate DoN's they are played for the most part by people with no clue on how to play them. On more then one occasion has poor play led to the game being extended when it should have been over long ago. Because one must succeed overwhelmingly in them to grow ones roll those players are more harm then good to my chances. I dont know how many times ive seen some idiot playing hands like 107 because he has all the chips. I think iveseen almost as many chip leaders go busto because of it when they had more then enough to make it.

I mada a little ''math'' with DoN's. You play 20 games. If you win 11, you are at 0, break even, if you win 12 you got 2BI, if you win 13 you have 4BI, if you win 14 you have 6BI.
Beating more than 14 DoN's out of 20 is-at least in my experience difficult.
I do agree with you that A LOT of people don't know how to play them, what bugs me the most is the when people team up against the short stack and some idiot goes and raises/shoves and than loses the pot so the short stack is alive and well.
If you play say, 40 Don'S a day, 10$ buy in, and win 25 of them, you are 60$ in profit, that is 12.5 won per 20 played, which isn't difficult to reach (unless tilt gets the best of you)
P.S. Main problem about DoN's is ineficient play of a chip leader, if he has 2-3 stack larger than the rest and it's the bubble, it is expected from him to bully (with any decent hand) steal blinds and make the ''little guys fight each other out if needed.''
Worst chip leader's are those who do nothing just because they got lucky in one hand and than only wait to see what happens, they oftenly provide the air for the choking fish that is willing to risk it with any two cards.

I love how both your opinions are in direct contrast of each other, and I agree with both
The thing about DoNs is that, they're not remotely enjoyable, barely profitable (these days at least), and pretty much pointless to play unless you're MASS tabling.
My Advice would be to just steer clear of them period and pllay 6max SnGs, fish love them.
