Sorry but it's sadder thinking of playing poker in New Year's Eve. I'm pretty sure time ago they did it and not enough people got registered so, it didn't worth it.

Reasoning for this? I'd agree with christmas and such stuff, but is new years eve that special over there? Sure I'll "celebrate" it with my family but there's nothing wrong with starting a session at like 2am or something when the drunk donks enter the tables IMO

Its really unkind to say things like that. Who knows the reasons for why people do things and i can appreciate poker being a welcome distraction for some. Ima get my hair did and my nails done and par-tay tonight but some are away from home. some are alone. some are bed ridden due to cancer or sickness. the gamut runs it all. The statement should read "its good poker can be there for people looking for something to do"

Yea already New Years in many places. New Zealand and Australia had already celebrated and if you consider they way of drinking as nations they must be drunk by now I find it reasonable not having the usual tournies at this time.

take a break dude- imo a day of non poker wouldn't hurt...probably pokerstars are cooking something up...maybe some new tourneys, poker leagues, also the new rake structure kicks in- there's a lot of mess to clean up, so give them time, and we are all pretty sure stars will be back to normal in no time
