That is amazingly bad luck. I can understand the guy with KK staying in it and hitting a set - happens to me in cash games a lot, but A5 suited? You got unlucky on that hand, but when you play large fields like that you have to be good AND lucky on a given day to take down the whole thing. Better luck next time.

Ya AA beaten by 25 hearts not too long ago what a joke pokerstars. It has just gone from one joke too another the players if you can call them that go of the Poker Strategy websites they say raise suited cards to maximise value if you hit 2 running suited cards on flop and so every single time you see Q7 clubs hit 7J spades hit its one GIANT donk fest....

Ugh, bad beat for sure. Losing with pocket Aces is certainly unmatched annoyance, especially so far along the tourney. You definitely did the right thing though. Had you have won that hand you would've definitely had an impressive stack. Good luck on the next one.

Sorry to hear such crap, but on the other hand I know it's not only me getting pooped on by some joker who hits runner, runner and there Q,5 squishes my AA after they have nothing on the flop, but call me Allin. I guess I don't have that kind of luck, if that's what you call it, but then again, I don't call on crap like that. Hopefully things are better next couple of games.

Play a smaller field size IMO - surviving 8000 players requires a lot of luck - the chances of your 80% favourite hands holding enough time to see you through to the end of the tournament are slim - and that's not even counting the times you get it in behind.

I don't agree your all in after flop, cos : 1. you had 2 caller and had flush possibility. 2. Your chips/ position good enough, no need take gambling action yet. 3. no guarantee AA always win
My option is bet half pot or check ( check raise if someone bet not bigger than pot and fold if someone go all in, try to play save - still have enough chips to wait another good chance- except I have strong feeling I call all in move )

They definitely have plenty of games with less than 8,000 !!!
Just play the 90man or 180 man SNGs - they're basically the same thing as a small-field MTT.

How is your opinion all ? please share
It was only a pot-size bet. Anything other than ALLIN on the flop would be incorrect. I think you've miscalculated the size of the pot if you're recommending a half-pot bet. He raised to 24k pre and had two callers, that is 72kpot + antes/blinds. So his allin is already smaller than the pot. If he bet half the pot he would be 100% committed any how.
I think perhaps you've misread the pot/stack sizes based on what you're saying. He really had no option other than to go allin on the flop.

you know the human feeling , when you see those Guaranteed signs in Green & u just wanna win it all lol, i just wanna win once & then move to the 180 ppl SNG , I just like the challenge of winning 8k ppl to take down a tourney .But ur right in the long run its better to play the 180peeps SNG

LOL yeah, I do know what you mean. There is certainly a much larger sense of 'excitement' when entering a large GTD $ game. Some little part of you that dares to believe today is the day.

Ouch, that sucks, the quality of some players on PS and every other site for that matter, amazes me. Ive had people push a medium stack on a 2 outer and hit when i am 70% favourite... Absolutely gobsmacked.
