Today I got a short message to my mobile from an unknown source that there would be a free 3K tourney at 888 on 21th January.
It is just a bit confusing to me because I didn't play there for a long time, even do not have their client installed at the moment and cannot remember to pass this mobile number to them ...

ya got that message in an email from them this morning and like you didn't play there in over 6 months so must be a promotion to get players back to their site that have not played there in a while may just give it a go,nothing to lose just time

Yes, probably. But where do they have got my moblie number from? And why not inviting me by email? I tried to get an answer from support, still waiting so far...
It really sounds good and I would participate there, but...
The thing is I am just branded because I am dealing with issues like those in the attached picture ... this was send with my hacked live-id to my contacts Not enough this wise guy (whoever this time) managed to place a worm into my system and therefor I am a bit aware with strange things happen to my accounts and personal data at the moment.
So if I am the only one who got this invitation by message to his mobile phone and support doesn't answer -

i would be wary too if it was sent to my mobile and i cant remember giving it to them you done the right thing by asking their support,just wait for them to hopefully clear this up

well then its a nice offer imo- go ahead and good luck. always nice to see a promo where you have a chance to win something not risking a penny. these promos added with free bankrolls and gift offers are the best thing in online poker (and hitting a jackpot like one on merge also is fine enough)

i didnt get any invitation for that game, maybe because its been around 3 years i played there. anyway gonna be lots of players in tht tournament i think, gl to any1 from BRM playin

Seems genuine. I got txt and email. Had a similar one b4 Xmas but couldn't make the time. Just go for it....potential gain at no cost. Just enjoy!!!!!!!!
I've got that mail, but...big lol...already at least 5k people are registered to that tournament...this is just pure gambling nothing more...so they give a chance and they give nothing at one time...

I have an account there but it makes some long time since the last game I played there. This seems a good event to make me install this room again (I am looking a lot in the same situation you are), it’s the only way to be sure if they are really doing it. But nothing like passing in their site first to see if they announce something. If I am talking about it, you should be thinking why haven’t I gone there before writing this, but I couldn’t because this PC only allows me to visit certain contents online.

and that's not a bad idea - internet is full of traps nowadays. if there only would be the classic hackers, with some luck and some mice traps one could get them possibly. but I suppose most of these spamming trojans are made by industry itself. just open a net connection and a browser while watching tcp ports ... really annoying who's interested in getting private data and nearly impossible to geolocate them all.

Congrats to you! I was busted by pocket Jacks at the early blinds, hehe. But it was fun to test their room after all this time. I just noticed they do offer some good formats and now they are willing to pay me a 100% Bonus for a deposit. Tempting to try it out.
