For thoes of you how have an account on CDPoker through PokerSchool, should know the weekly restricted 1000$ freeroll that PokerSchool has on Sundays. If not, stay away from it, because it’s mine
Well yesterday it was....
I should mention that my biggest achievement tournamentwise so far, is winning a 1$ SNG with 180 participants. Otherwise it’s only been top 40places in some of the bigger freerolls/cheap tournament, but mainly playing and winning smaller SNGs...
Recently i have not been playing at CDPoker, since my bankroll is only 0.03$, but currently my game is on PokerStars, because they have daily freerolls for nordic playes and each second day freerolls/1$ tournament for danish players. So here is where i use to play. And that was also the plan yesterday, I signed up for a couple of tournaments on PokerStars early on the day, and started to wait.....
For some reason I remenberd the 1000$ PokerSchool tournament, and thought I’d give it a try. But at first the password that were listet on PokerSchool sites did not work , and when i found the right password on the forum, I was still not able to enter; “.... restricted ....” damn... I wrote on the forum, and an Admin replyed “... try again.. “ and bingo , I was registred.... great.
But that was not the end of it. I our household we have more that one PC, so i thougt that I’ll install the CDPoker software on one of the other PC’s and then play the tournaments on this PC.... but when I tryed to log in to CDPoker I could not remember the password, I knew aprox. what it was but not exactly, so within a couple of tries my account was blocked.... oh no... Next step was to write to the Support at CDPoker, and request a unlock of my account, that came within minutes of the tournament beginning.
And now to the tournament.... There was a little over 1000 registred users to the tournament, and I started out slow, and was only hanging on for the first 2 hours. After the second break I was in the buttom 3 of around 100 players. I had 2980$ in chips, I was big blind at the the first play after the break with blinds of 750/1500$. So i Checked with 23 offsuite, Flop: K52 (2 clubs), only one other player had called the flop (A9 of clubs) and I went All-in. I was of course called, Turn; 3D, and river; 6S..... I was back in the game.... By the end of hour 3 I was chip leader with a little over 300.000$ in chips, but my closes compeditor had just below 300K. At 3 minutes past midnight (server timer) I took him out. Blinds at 7500/15000$, he was BB and raised with 45K, I had a pair of 9’s so i called him. Flop 739 offsuite, he went all-in with 217.227$ and I called him, (at this stage i was pleased with my performance so far ending up in aprox 10-15’th position), he had a pair of Kings... but the turn brought 2D, and the river 7C, so that gave me a major chiplead with over 600K in chips... and we were less than 20 players remaining.
The next stage I was playing extra tight, but entering the final tabel i had almost 1.000.000$ in chips, and the closest compeditors had around 200-250K, so for my point of view there where never any doubt, I would win this, and so I did, after 5 hours of play i knocked out the last remaing player. What a night.....
Thanks for reading and good luck to you out there...
