well, i guess that post caused a lotta contraversy. First let me say that if you read it a little more carefully, it was geared towards the people that are going bust all the time. I probably should have named the subject more appropriately, like playing poker for profit, or something similar. Anyway, I'm glad to see that some people did get what I was getting at. gl all!

A healthy discussion is always good. Ive yet to find such a forum discussion where veiled sarcasm didnt creep it at some point. So long as we all know its in the pursuit of better poker and helping others.

Any thread that gets people talking about poker is good IMO. If some people disagreed so what? It is a forum and don't take offense when others voice a different view than yours. The concept of cashing out some amount of your roll as you go is not a bad one - it all depends on what you ultimately want to accomplish with the game.
I have posted hand histories here in the past where after some of the better poker minds on this forum weighed in, I then re-evaluated that part of my overall poker strategy and improved my game. Stick around and listen to what the other members say, there is a lot of good stuff being exchanged here, but you can't take the suggestions and comments on a personal level.

Exactly! I wouldn't take any one persons opinion on any subject to serious. That's part of the reason this forum is what it is. People express their opinions and there's not to many Mobsters thinking that only their thoughts / opinions are the only one that counts.
If it weren't for the varying thoughts of other people there wouldn't be a lot to talk about. You didn't put no one down nor did you make it sound like this is the only smart thing to do to be profitable. It's all good and Good Luck to All!

yep everyone takes what they read differently.some good some bad,and some just outright badass.ive copped heaps of scabs for stupid stuff on brm.dont worry about it.ive learnt never to post drunk anymore.
