I'm sure some of the Mobsters who've been playing poker for years have ran across this, but me having only a little over a year in at playing poker never seen this before. This was not my hand, but at the table I was playing on and I had to post it. And, ask! How many players have seen this?

bah. not only does it happen but ive lost both times it has happened.
Actually im 0 for 3 in face-offs with the same hand.
AA, AA and JJ ive all lose with. On merge it sucks especially because the first thing u notice is the percentage is 52% for opponent. then 70% then Win for them.
ive had 99 AK 1010 and a couple others at the same time as another opponent but ive never won. Just those 3 loses.
How you do today Green? I got moved away yesterday and lost track of you.
Also do they have friends on Carbon? i only ask because i was going to add you but im not sure if you would be even notified.

This is not common, i don't know how anyone can say that... Just because you've seen it once or twice doesn't make it common... its extremely rare to get any two players with the same pockets, let alone both with AA, the odds are actually less than 0.004%

i've had this several times (aa vs aa, kk vs. kk , jj vs jj) and have been on both sides- won and lost, it is of course a very rare thing, but when it happens it leaves you fuming, or as happy as winning the lottery- i remember when i win in those situations i laugh a lot, never happened playing live, but i guess the face of opponent would be one to remember

See it once in a while. When I used to play live more frequently, I had AA vs AA vs KK at a full ring table, we were all-in before the flop, and we split KK's stack.

I had KK Vs AA Vs JJ on Friday at the real felt, 100/200 and I only lost 1400 with KK, in EP raise to 600 get 2 callers board gives A J 7(with spade flush draw, no BD flush for me) I bet out 800 and the savage began, NTA raises to 2,800 to AI from LP(AA), JJ calls for the last of his stack and loses.

saw that many times, happen to me too. the worst thing about this situation, when you push all in with AA, see another AA and some random guy with 33 or something wins the pot..

Hey Micro! I guess I don't understand how Carbon and Merge players can play in the same games. Is this just a gaming site with various names? Also, I sure don't have the luck at Carbon that I've had when could play at PS and FT. I mean I lose a lot of hands to the turn and river. I've only been at the site for about 7 weeks now, but just curious how well you do at Merge?

If you play 6 -10 tables at a time, for a few hours a day.. You'll see this enough, I wouldn't say it's "common" but sure, it happens. As does AA vs KK (always a sick way to exit a game).
I actually thought you were going to show AA losing to AA - that is much rarer.. Seen that a couple times also though.
