I was playing on titan poker on a 1+10$, 10 player SNG i was quite short stacked, on about 1200 chips, the blinds where 100/200. Ive got QQ the shortest stack moves all in with 800 chips, so i shove over him 2 try get any other people off it, a monster stack calls The monster stacks got AJ off, the short stacks got 88. The flop comes down 666, im clear favourite, the turn, Q i'm even clearer favourite, almost unbeatable. EXCEPT FOR THIS RIVER....6 so f****n AJ wins, WHAT A FUCKIN STUPID SUCKOUT

Yeah, that's some bad luck! I just got beat down a bit by a player with 5,2 against my KK when the flop was 2,2,2. Sometimes you just wonder how it seems to happen at the most unexpected times. Good Luck to All!

Any suckout sucks, but the river ones are really bad. Personally, I also hate when someone comes against my AA all-in with Q10 and the flop brings AKJ… it seems like there was an arrangement. Its beats like this that makes us coming to the forum talk about rigged poker and stuff, but when it happens on our behalf, we just don’t tell it to anybody!

man thats a prick of a beat.i hate it when that happens.nothing worse.best thing is to not stew on it tho.these things do happen.just not your day.one day you will be the AJ.
You really have to look at when you put the chips in, in your situation it was preflop and it was something like 75 /25 or whatever, it doesnt matter how the card came out later, at least thats what I tell myself to make me feel better, one in four AJ will win. Although I see where you are coming from, it does suck majorly to have that happen. What I hate the most is catching someones bluff and then they suck out. At PCA main event this year thats exactly what happened to me, I had 88 which I 3bet on the button, flop is 9 4 3 rainbow, the guy bets, I raise and he insta shoves. I was confident Im good and I called, he shows KQ off suit, turn is a queen. He had 405K in chips i had 400K.

well man thats the reality of poker- you never know where to expect suckouts from- one thing you can be very confident of is that they will come and in increasingly frustrating quantities...so better sit back relax take a bottle of beer and be prepared to lose your bankroll...

Yeah, that's brutal! He has got to get that one card!
I once flopped a set of jacks against a dude with pocket eights. There wasn't much draws on the flop, so I slowplayed it. The turn is an 8. Now he has got a set. And he sure doesn't mind pushing.

yeah it is the reality of poker, he did have a chance, although it was only a 2% chance. That time was that 2%. Ive no doubt done it to someone else before, its jus horrible when it happens to you. Plus as soon as the flop came 666 i knew i wasnt winnin, an even though i didnt know how it was gunna win, i thought AJ was gunna win, even wen i hit the Q i knew it was gunna happen, so it just made it doubly horrible.

I finished on the good end of that one one time. Playing a microstakes turbo 6 person, we are down to HU and I have KQ. Raise stiffly, opponent shoves with QQ and the flop came down exactly like you 666 (number of the beast - coincidence? NOT ) and the fourth 6 came out on the river. Sh*t happens, hopefully next time you are on the good end of that one.

Bad suckout indeed and even thou i never had one like so, still hurts those river ones that hit u in the face from time to time. I always crack a smile when u shove to trap a small stack holding 99 for instance and he turns A-X and then the flop K K 10, turn 2, and then river 10. Poker gods have some evil sense of humour sometimes
