I just got round to playing the 200k GTD ticket from the Christmas calender yesterday. I managed to get 37th out of 1300 and pulled in $1129 for my efforts.
Such a great promotion and goes to show this site is such a massive credit to anyone who decides to use it.
On the down side, I went out to a failed hero call with 2nd pair (PP 7's). The villain had appeared at the table and was super active and had lost a couple of hands due to the aggro. The instant push over the top of my raise on the flop made me suspicious so after much deliberation, I called and he had KJo & hit the J. In hindsight it was a very stupid call at such a critical stage with enough back to fight another day. Yes, I did feel very stupid and have learned from it.

Well even though you went out on this hand making a bad call, it seems that you played this tourney very well and in the end made a nice winning. Grats to you, very well done.

great news- congrats and gl in the future- spend money wisely (buy a few big boobed babes and have some quality drinks ) and really nice to see stories like that coming in- for the rest that didn't win anything- hope never dies, maybe you will record something similar- don't give up

Well done for your game and they money you got. The prize was really good considering the buy in was zero Bad run there with the 7's, you could play a little more controlled and go further in the money gl in your next games.

Congratulations, that's an excellent result and a very good prize ! For how long did you played ?
Lesson's learned are also good, I found it very hard to keep concentration in long tournaments, I always end to make bad calls/judgements and that's why I only play SNG or small tournaments

Thanks again all. Yeah it's defnitely a lesson learned and normally in that situation I would have folded for a push that had me covered as there was lots that had me beat. But given the previous pots he lost & the aggro style, along with the ultraquick push made me think he was tilting his nuts off. More than likely fell right into his trap really. Nevermind. After cooling from being so frustrated with myself, I'm very happy with the result.
TheFarSeer, I'm not 100% but I think it was around 7 hrs.

May have fallen out sooner then you expected or wanted, but a good finish. Congratulations for hanginf tuff that long. Plus, it's great to see threads like this after reading the one from that "repcork" charater. Good Luck to All!

Congrats, Zxanthion.
37th in a MTT with 200K GTD and 1300 players is a real nice!!! 1100 $$, wow.
The hand... I usually have the same sensation (i go out in the MMT cause i play a horrible last hand) but we play the hand in the way we feel in that moment. Good or bad...

Congratz on the win m8!! I was starting to wonder what had happened to all those tickets brm gave around. Nice to see some of them paid off... and $1000 on a free ticket... that would make my day
Now i remembered a member here... former botter... he got 2 or 3 tickets the lucky prick lol. Didnt come here to say what happened to them. Can't remember his name but i think some here also remember him. Would like to know if former criminals can also make money the clean way

This is one of the reasons I made the thread. My brother (FlippedChips) gave me a small ribbing for making a 'brag post' but I thought people like yourself would like to hear about it, and to give hope to those who think they never win anything (outwith a plain thank you to BRM).
Serpang, once I got the ticket (late Jan) I was a little too hungover (suffering from alcohol in case you don't know the word) to play whenever it was on, so just left it until I was of a clearer mind. Regarding big moments, surprisingly, there weren't really many that I can remember as it was just a grind for the last 3/4. With that said, it's a bit of a blur and I'm going to have a look through my HH to make sure.
