Seems that a lot of you take your poker very seriously. I guess I dont so much.
I was reviewing some of my older posts and comments left by fellow mobsters. I have got a few thumbs down for a post(s); I kinda left hanging. Some of you may have taken that as a wee bit of the drinky poo. First of all I'm Canadian; and then French. Its what I do.
Maybe or maybe not. (I do believe I was partaking in few well deserved pints when I did so very well in a recent BRM freeroll.) (Maybe a few puff puff passes too)
Sorry if I crowded up your forum with my bs.
Poker to me is a HOBBY.
Dont get me wrong; I like to win as much as the next guy but I dont go to any lengths to improve my game. I dont really care about EV this or VE that. ROI or any other acronym you have to use that better helps you to justify why you lost/won. I don't have any buddy programs to tell me what cards to play or when. I don't keep histories on hands or players. I really don't dwell on the past.
I play because I enjoy it. Somewhat for fun, sense of competition, to feel like apart of a community. The list goes on why I enjoy this GAME.
So I guess in short. I'm here to have fun.
Thanks as always to BRM for all they do. I have taken part in a few or more of the NDB and still haven't parlayed any of them into anything but hell I was having fun doing it. or losing it.
So in future please don't thumbs down my posts because you think they are irrelevant. They are to me. Thats' right; its all about me.
Take care mobsters, cheers or puff puff, or whatever your thing is.
Heh, people are gonna thumbs down your posts if they feel like it, buddy.
And anyways what's wrong with taking poker seriously? For a lot of people, it's a job. If you thought you had the potential to live a wealthy life off poker, you probably would take it seriously, and analyse your play a lot. That doesn't mean you don't enjoy playing it though...

lulz@ the two replies getting thumbed down.
I wondered who would thumb me down in my own damn blog about my goals. I mean someone went out of their way to thumb me down for like 4 pages. It even bothered me and i was like, hey im a nice guy. I try and be cool to people. why the thumbs down. Then i realized its like wondering why someone plays KJ to a dive on a 4bet with two other players in the hand. I dont want to know why they thought it was a good move. I just have to accept it and move on.

Whats your problem? Do you really check, what ratings your posts get. Dont. Or if you do, dont be surprised or mad, if all not positive. Different people, different opinion. I never gave anybody thumbs so far, good or bad

great way of looking at poker- it's true recreational attitude that is the most fun way to look at life in a whole, and poker in that matter as well. i fully support you- the problem is that most people who should be looking at poker the same start to look at is very serious after reading all the tips, strategies and other junk which is made only for someone to generate cash in one way or another good luck dude- you are as normal as they get

What can be better than join fun with earning money? That is the purpose of online poker: giving everyone the chance to get money while playing a funny game like poker! Everyone can get a few bucks doing this, and, of course, the better you turn in the game, the most chances you will have to win more. But when this chance turns into obsession, there goes the fun down the flush, and all of this turns into an obligation, and you can only imagine you better without the game. Keep control, I am just like you, so hope others read this so they don’t turn obsessive!

I seen several in your blog and wondered that myself. I enjoy reading everyone's blog to gain a bit of knowledge and get an idea of what type of a person one is. Even though this is a forum where we will probably never meet face to face I still respect most every Mobster here in the forum and have never really had a conflict with anyone. It's to bad some peole can't be a bit open minded and accept that everyone has an opinon whetehr or not you agree is irrelavent.
We're all human beings with minmal time on this planet and I've always enjoyed traveling to other places , meeting different types of people no matter what their race, beliefs or opinions are as log as they're not harming another or being a hateful / disrespectful individual. It'd be nice to think we could all get along here in BRM and someday after I hit this lottery for 50 million pay for a big poker get together for all you Mobsters. That's the truth, if I win! Good Luck to All!

Well, poker is a hobby to me. A hobby that during some years give money, nice hobby. Of course, some people have poker as a job, it must be a hard job (no good conditions as a job, i think) this guys sure takes poker more seriuosly than me.
