So I finally got the urge up to play some poker. Felt like grinding some cash games, and since I hadn't tried it yet, figured I'd give Stars Zoom poker a try since I've got a roll on there as well.
Played $2NL and after around 2.5 hrs, I swear it's the NITTIEST ring game I've ever seen. I didn't really play a lot of Rush on FTP since ring games weren't really my thing back then. but from what I did play, I seem to remember it was still fairly loose.
I swear, in 2.5 hrs I saw a 4 player pot exactly ONCE. The rest of the time it was usually heads up, and very seldom it was 3 way.
TBH, I donno if Zoom would be very profitable, given there seems to not be many loose fishies.

Strange. I tried Zoom as well (micro), and it was very agressive, like Rush used to be. Maybe the time of day and number of players plays a role?
If they DO play nitty, you can probably steal most of the blinds, which adds up after a couple of hours. Big time. Or 3-bet to make them fold and steal pots?
I played "Fast Poker" yesterday on Everest, and during the day it was DEAD easy. Bad play, nitty play, folds to raises, stealing blinds. i loved it!
Then...late evening and especially after midnight, the crazies got going, and it was undoable. Huge and over-raises, all-ins....pfffff Kept having to fold or lost my chips to suckouts. It was a free-for-all, and my bankrol took a beating. Whereas during the day, it just kept going up.
It´s always been a weird and varience heavy game. Much more than Cash even (obviously). Anyway, I´ll give it a shot again PS. what time of day did you play?

i cant get away with rush/zoom/fast poker. no matter how i play what time of day anything i always end up losing a few buyins. definately not for me. i'l stick to 6-max cash i think. good luck if you happen to give it another shot.

I've played Zoom and this is what can I say - I LOVE IT i played od 10/25cents stakes.. I've folded everything except AA KK... I got AA 2 times.. got a couple of fishes behind me.. and from 25$ i made about 140$.. 2-3 all in, flop was ussualy low (2,6,8, something like that) and had fishes with 10 10, J J, 9 9.. i like it
Well, played it only once, not so bad. A Friend of mine played it for a longer Time, maybe 2 hours, and from $10 he went up to $120. Seems he found some good players. Like it´s needed to win...

I still havent tried it but, through what i have read about it, it seems insane action. One can think he is moving faster to the win when he folds a hand and instantly gets another one, but it may happen that the game finishes without one noticing.

well i remember rush and it really was what the name says- real rush of blood to your head haven't tried zoom, only play money, but that is like trying to f.ck a babe through the glass doors but i imagine the action is quick, and i think you should have a bigger bankroll than at the same stake but playing no zoom...

Zoom poker is the same like rush in the past at FT. I like it and the best is: you can get the suckouts faster now And now a lot of other rooms and networks offer the same fast games in the nearly future.

That could very well be the case. Due to where I am, it seems like I always playing during the "dead times". Gotta remember to play during the weekend, when all the drunk 9-5ers turn into Phil Ivey wannabe's
I will say this. I like how they decided to have $2NL. One thing that stopped me from playing Rush that much was that the lowest was $5NL. Mind you, I'm a lot more confident in my cash game now, than I was back then.

I haven't play Zoom poker yet nor rush poker or similar poker rooms...anyways I would rather sitck to classics .. I prefer read my opponents, know them and see how they're acting in different situations..i think thesr kinda poker rooms were made only to gain more rake . I heard its a good play for those who aren't so patient... But no thanks..i might try it once just to see what i'll be dealing with..cheers

I haven't tried it yet myself but I dd have a lot of fun playing at terminal poker when Bank Roll Mob had a no deposit there. The tourney style rush poker is even more fun. Thanks for all the comments here, there's a good chance I'll give it a go.

Zoom Poker is fun to play, but I deplete my bankroll much faster by playing Zoom Poker, I do not play it much nowadays, I like Pot limit Omaha much more.

I like this kind of poker and it is really different against normally cash game. There are a lot of gamblers and it is verry lucrative to play aginst these players.

Wish I could give it a go, but can't since I'm in the U.S., but yourright about your comments. I played a lot of RUSH at FT and about 85% of the hands are HU. Rare to see 4 to 5 players getting in a hand. Now of course the Freeroll RUSH at FT was a reckless run for the money. 5000 players trying donk eachother was nothing more then a roullette game.

I just tried zoom and I think it's totally awesome! I noticed a lot of folds too but I just raise more often and only to 2.5x bb and often get heads up and continuation bet wins the pot 80% of the time. A lot of players called me a fish lol, maybe I play too many hands.. I noticed I get 3 bet often which is not cool and pokertraker doesn't work on it. I played 4000 hands in 6 hours, 2 tables of zoom and 1 or 2 tables of NL25. One cool hand in photo
