2.4K in the green last 4months since I started playing a little more seriously and put some volume in the game.

Well After 10 months of just playing freerolls on PokerStars to build my bank roll from $00.00, I have finally made it over US$25 after Feb's Openleague, and got 2nd on BRM freeroll League last month.

Update; 10.04.2012
$US 31.34

Yes I do want get away from freerolls asap, but i promised my self id not spend money in'till i hit US$50.00. and only way do that is freerolls, I just wanted a good starting BR (in case of big down swings' etc), and test waters to see whats needed, before start spending money to make money (serous BankRoll goals to go Pro (dreams are for free LOL )).

It doesn't worry me if im going like Turtle, as I just started on Star's for fun so any thing US$ is a blessing, and I'll be very confident when i do start next round of My BankRoll/Management (2), with all this grinding and practice on/at the freerolls.
(only money(which i did break Promise) i have spent was
US$00.10, in rebuy (NZ&AUS Div 2 freefoll), that i hit by mistake, and
US$00.02 i spent in 990person SNG, i just thought id give ago to see how well id do, and
US$01.00 in Guinness World Record attempt) so thats US$01.12 id be up in BR)

Its been slower than i thought after the main source's of making money dried up after NZ&AUS Div 2 in July/August last year, and $150 NZ Nightly give away stopped, its been just Open league and WR2 tourneys, too make money with out spending money, Now there's The Big Game NZ regional League each night and BRM freerolls Leaderboard i just found (wish id found earlier), that will help speed up end goal.
Well I'm half way too my $50 mark/goal, all this grinding / practice be good for when i finally spend money too make money. Then look out

If you don't play for money you should start grinding the 0.25$ 90 people sngs. They are not turbo so people don't get too mental at them..you have more than enough BR for those... you don't learn nothing from freerolls and are wasting your time.
Or you can deposit 10$ now so you can play those 100K freerolls (that are with 30c rebuy), they are full of fishies - easy money.

You are just tilting my friend, it is that you are now experiencing a downswing a bad variance, but the tides will turn into your favor, just work on your patience. Smile

Did u read post i said i promised my self id not spend money to make money in'till after i hit US$50 as i promised my self, then use good bankroll management to go up from $00.00 again, to my 2nd goal of being profitable in micro's then (macro's etc) ongoing goals of going Pro eventually.

in till i hit $50.00, and then split into 2 POTS/ money accounts on same 0HighTime0 Account.
1; $25.00 savings / winnings
2; $25.00 to play for money/vpp
all money etc from POT #1 will stay in POT #1 ( only use if needed to top up POT #2 )
all winnings from POT #2 will go in to POT #1

Yes i agree In ways that freerolls are waste time (but good practice in Patience/Discipline to handle playing donks & easier way of winning money), but to build bankroll from $00.00 there no other way with out depositing ( which is not what i'm going do, and to be good player u have grind ur way up, don't u think?, as depositing in my opinion is cheat way of going up (bankroll management) to being a top poker player

Sorry tomboy if that was director-ed at first post of crazyhorse

I have cashed out close to 500 in the last few years. I have never made a deposit; so that's pretty good.

Some people don't think FRs are the way to go because they are a waste of time; but I think if ya can get through 5000+ donkeys to win ...ya must be doing something right.

And its good practice for the huge MTTs for big dollars. The WR2s are way harder because you are playing all the top players from the weekly FRs.

Keep up the good work dude....it'll pay off in the long run.

I personally suck at cash games...completely different game from SNG and MTT. I just dont have the patience to wait for AA all day. And then if its a junk flop..ur AA is garbage anyway. there is a lot more strategy to MTT, cash games are donkeys playing 20+ tables waiting for AA or stupid bets to steal blinds. And then the a*****e you just doubled up just leaves with ur money...at least with MTTs you have a chance to get it back.

peace...

You are making a rhetorical question here: Stars is the biggest room in the world, with the biggest number of players, but how many of them have indeed won money with their account? This must be the lowest value ever in any room, I believe, maybe even the shortest number that Stars has to show about their statistics, I can’t remember of any other thing that can be as low as the number of people who, in fact, withdraw more money than deposited in the world’s biggest online poker site. I don’t make part of this number, unfortunately, but I sure would like to know it from reliable source. Of course many pros and non-pros, amateurs and even donks withdraw more money than they deposited, but how many? And how many deposited without ever withdrawing?

you guys talk about 50-100 dollars as a deasant bankroll???
So you can move up playing higher stakes?
what age are u guys ???
living in a 3rd world country??
maybe ,still under 18,,so not allowed to play online poker at all|??

come on,, if i read this, i need a bag so all i ate today won't come out..

are you serious?? poker is a money -skill game,,,u are surrounded here with casino's and other big money sites ,,sharks and other smart well educated people and u guys talk about making 50 $ in 6 months...

this must be a reason why some and even more countries are not eligeble for freebankrollbonusses..

the way i see it is..

wanna play poker?? ,,,deposit a deasant amount at different sites to get the maximum out of the bonus they offer ,,combined with the bonuscodes you get from sites like bankrollmob

and give urself an axtra boost on your invesment..

then start playing ..

I dont want to insult the community here, but the posts i read above are insulting to poker in general,,

what are u guys expecting from online poker???

trust me to succeed in anything you have to invest ,,mostly more then average to become good
at what you like to achieve,,,

investing = time ,money,studying,,practising..evaluating

I hope by this posts i have woken up some of u guys,,, this is no game or invironment for under age kids..and a 100 $ bankroll is just a joke..at least for me it is...

Especialy if you play on STARS

@uhhcallmi: Well thats your kind of view. Others do it in a different way. I see nothing wrong with this.
I can tell you that I started playing online poker in in February last year with a free bankroll of $50 for fun (I have a nice job and can easily afford to make a decent deposit, but I am not willing to do so).
So I played with this $50 and had fun and learned more about poker by playing an reading strategy articles.
I used a strict bankrollmanagement and played freerolls as well.
Today I have a bankroll of about $ 1.500 and I really enjoyed it to build this up from zero.

So there are always several ways of approach.

I played there since 2007 and i´ve got so many suckouts there- it is unbelievable. Against all odds and outs. And this without a tilt. And i know no other player or friend with winnings at stars longterm. Every second hand you see mega draw showdowns there, this is a bad joke...

I agree 100%

I manged to win $5 in a freeroll and within 1 week I had turned it into $50 playing the 90 man $0.25 sngs. I played 4 of them at once and one night I even managed to take down 3 out of 4 them. Blinds are 15 minutes, so you can just sit tight and wait for premium hands.

If you want to build a bankroll on stars, this is the way to go IMO.
