Hi there, whats the best way to farm VPPs on PokerStars? im playing alot of "zoom" copy from Rush poker on FTP obv. and i love it.. but i still wonder whats the best way to farm VPPs ? and i play micro stakes.

The best way to get vpps is to play high limits thats obvious. If you pla ymicros try to play 4 zoom tables at same time at least and youll see your vpps growing, i can hadle 8 aqt same time, but sometimes i ned making more mistakes than usual wich is not as profitale as iam expecting most of time. The other way to make more vpps is to play plo (pot limit omaha) where the pots usually are higher and the rake gets up faster!

thanks for the reply. Well PLO is very likely out of question i play only texas holdem poker. usualy NL. and Zoom is nice i hope they will add some tournaments with this mode in the near future. Finally its on PS. We couldn't play that mode since the time FTP went off.

The rake is higher at Pot limit Omaha and no limit cash games, thus play the midstakes cash games and you will see the VPP's accumulate faster. Good luck at PS.

u can also make a lot of VPP at the FL tabels ... with a low risk ... but it's not worth it if u dont play at least $0.50/1 and u could easy make 100 VPP a day if u play 2-3 tables in the same time and at least 3 session on about 1h30 min each that is how i used to do it ... i know that it's harder to make a big profit in a short time but then on the PL or NL tables but also the risk of losing huge amounts is much lower and u won't find so many donks that play every hand

To me, the best way will always be playing ring, not because I am better playing this way, but because you will have more hands generating more rake and also VPP’s than in SnG, which will only count once you register. If you play many SnGs you may join many and, winning most part of it, will also be profitable for you. But the truth is SnGs vary a lot in Stars. If in one you can get a lot of donks and you win or reach paid places easily, there will be others where you will have to work hard to keep on the tables, so this means it will take you a lot of time. If you want fast VPP’s go for the ring tables, but choose wisely the level you play at, you don’t want to blow your bankroll all in the first day!

im not a fan so much of FL and my bankroll doesnt allow me to play 0.50/1dollar/euro stakes at all :/ , the thing i dont like about FL you cant really show the strength of the hand preflop also there are many calling stations as far as my experience goes in FL tables. Anyway thanks for the tip.

well when im playing SnGs on PS.. And i completely agree about the variance.. it drives me crazy sometimes, badbeats in a row.. best is when you bust out in a hand you played completely fine. But well we all know this is happening in poker all the time. So we can deal with it and get over it. Or cry about it, Well im getting over it. for now it seems like i have kind of downswing on PS, but im not sure if i can judge it yet since i played only about 4000 hands in Zoom. was all the time in profit but then few fatal decisions and bankroll is almost gone. Its not looking good right now

Interesting thread, I have often wondered how to get there as well I personally am starting to feel the best way to get points and fast on a small bankroll is to play the steps style tourneys, anyone where whether you win or lose you put in the fee and top certain positions let you try again (thus another fee for free) and if you win you go up a level to spend more on a tourney fee wise than you would typically with a bankroll of a hundred or less..... I think its win win cause whether your winning or losing your gaining a good majority of points in a day and if your losing your still learning

Hmm, this sounds like an interesting tactic. Maybe I will give it a try. I am currently playing the 50/50s at Stars for $3.50 buy in. Doing quite well atm, but due to limited time its also hard for me to earn VPPs.

Depends on yourbankroll mine is small on all sites I frequent lol so in order to maximize points for little amounts of buyins this is an appropriate strategy... Obviously if you have skill n bankroll just play the bigger money games win some lose some but stay even and rake in huge points for playing

step tourneys are actually great way to get an awesome amount of vpp's with a smaller than usually bankroll, but i find them too low on players, especially at the higher steps...still great strategy, and you can use step tickets as a buy in to other tournaments of the same value.
still most of supernovas and other vpp fanatics earn lions share of their points playing either cash games, either hyper turbo sit and gos. of course key with both mentioned is to handle as many tables as possible.
zoom poker is a new addition at stars, so this is still an unknown land in terms of going for supernova, supernova elite- but i think that zoom offers a good way to build up vpp's faster than usual multitabling- essentially it is the same multitabling, but in less windows...imagine opening up 30 tables- you are just folding and folding, and never look back at how hand develops...same thing with zoom....

The best way to get a lot VPP is to play cashgame. With 4-6 zoom tables you can get a lot of points, but it is not easy to play your best game with so many tables. Other guys playing over 20 sng tables +ev, but it is boring longtime to play this games. The answer is: cashgames, what else...

Guys dont try to make the mistakes i made before. Its preferible to play less tables and dont profit much with silver star, then trying to get goldstar and stuck the money to get 100vpps everyday. I have tryed before to get goldstar and playing nl5 and it was very stressing to get 100 vpps everdays to accomplish it. Try to play where you feel confortable, that the way i did, put the proud somewhere else, because you can end up busto trying to accomplish something that your not mentaly ready to do. Iam much more profitable playing 12 tables nl2 than 8 nl5, making between 1400 and 1600 vpps per month. I dont win as much in rake but at least i dont have big swings in my money and in the end of month i win more with less stress.
