Maybe is a stop for maintenance. They do it sometimes and the site is stopped during a few hours. Before stop you will see that MTTs and large SnG are cancelled or directly does not appear in the lobby.

They usually have server restart about this time month (but its usually advertised) there was server rerouting (TEXT in Chat Box, didn't take snapshot) when I was playing last night, it slowed/stopped for while.
I hope points we gained so far not gone lol as leader-board not showing in here yet?
PS; They have had Software Updating this week, and sometimes there's bug's! Great New table Themes and GUI features/updates

It’s a restart they are doing to the system, it’s ok, nothing to worry about. Don’t think there’s any chance of upgrading the prize of the next freeroll just because this didn’t happen, maybe it would be better to reschedule a new one, besides all the others that are already scheduled. I’m not playing ring at Pokerstars but I think I will start doing some games there, having the chance of getting such a big prize just for playing one the milestone hands should be something anyone would get crazy. I can’t imagine someone coming to my table saying “congratulations to you all, you are about to play the 80 billionth hand and have already guaranteed $15,000 prize”.

well i thought this is the "Black Wednesday" and pokerstars has stopped operations wise decision- go out there buy full tilt, close pokerstars and reopen business under different brand- probably they got bored with the name- decided to change something good bye stars, will miss you

Yep...this often happens due to routine and regular maintenance.... all your favourites return after a while and they run turbos to effectively use the time and give you the option of plkaying as much as you like pre the shut down so that they get some more of your hard earned bank roll too.

my pokerstars has been perfect all day i dont think its in my region but anyways its all good .. lol anyone know if there is any truth about buying and selling poker chips on pokerstars in scared id get scamed if i had them to sell..

you used to be able to sell your play chips (min 1million) the amount you got fluctuated with demand. i think you would get about $1 now for a million. hardly worth the effort.
