My advice, take it out of Pokerstars and play on a smaller site. Pokerstars is no good for a small Bankroll, Try Yoga Not much Traffic and Decent payouts against buy in.

mike i think ur absoulty right pokerstars probley suck the money out of the low bankrolls to make them redeposit and get so called hooked and lose it all mabey i have to put a 100 deposit to even take aza crack at it but i think the best thing for me to do is play freerolls atm.

LOL Good luck with the freerolls on Pokerstars you will need it 10,000 runners not for me. Freerolls yes thats all im doing at the moment to try and get on the BRM leaderboards but only 888, unibet, and party poker. I have points on all three but im only on the unibet board.

Freerolls on smaller sites are a good way to improve your MTT game, but don't get sucked into a rebuy not worth it. I played in one last night on Unibet 3000 runners i cashed in 8th i think for $1.20 Aww crap! not really worth it unless you win it, i could have grinded more in 30 mins on 2 Sit n Go's Cool

This is true. Poker stars have far to many entrants in their MTT making the tournament a major investment of time for a small chance of cashing. This is terrible for freerolls since the prize pool never changes, and in MTT it puts more pressure on running deep. I dont like to play anything over 500 players because it simply takes to long and my play drops off.

I also use Poker data tracking software for cash games and tournaments, and with PS having such a large player pool it is hard to develop long term reads on people because you are never playing with the same bunch. When i played on full tilt i would grind the micro 1c2c nl deep stack tables because similar players played those tables on a regular basis and i developed reads on them.

anyways back to the original thread topic, I don't ever have a thought of winning big in my mind unless I am in a large MTT. Winning big is not an option because it isn't very likely. you might not like what i have to say but making money in poker is all about the grind. just play 1c2c until your eyes start bleeding and you've smashed a few computer monitors from the incredibly bad play of the fish at this level.

It's going to take some time to build your bankroll up, just play smart and enjoy the game of poker as a game, and not a job. don't stress the financials.
