Hi, the link I posted was for a totally free well funded/ran by professionals poker school with everything that the original poster asked for ?

Confused

its not everything he asked for tho.
he asked for a school to be made here on bankrollmob.com not for brm members to go else where.
as admin said forum rule number one! Big Smile

I need to ask admin to allow editing first tread.

Assuming admin does this - I think the first thing to do would be to trawl back through the forum to find any gems that have already been posted.. I know there's definitely some good stuff in there already.

Yeah that's a good point Jess, You could probably build up the the poker manual right quick just by finding old threads and organizing the links in the first thread here.

@Chillipops: Just because no one was explicitly clear with you, the reason your link was deleted was because it linked to another affiliate site, in other words a site that competes with Bank Roll Mob, obviously it's bad for BRM to promote competing sites.

If what you mean is allowed to edit the 1st post in this thread - then done, you can do it now.

This, there are plenty of good advice, tips, strategy etc on here, however they are spread about, it would be nice to see them grouped so the time put in to them is not wasted.

I really like to idea for other mobsters to find some good poker articles and instructional videos about the limits they are playing Smile

I still think the best idea is to make instructional vids, this way they are much easy to understand plus you can always include many poker hands Blink

The problem i see with videos is BRM would either need the bandwidth to host them, OR

the videos would need to be hosted on a third party website such as vimeo or youtube. Although this would solve the bandwidth problem, youtube is already filled with similar videos that can be easily found if you search a little bit yourself.

I feel that BRM does not need to create a poker school. I think that there is enough resources out in the web space. I don't think that BRM or us (the forum users) need to waste time with lengthy articles and videos, but instead the focus should be on attracting attention to the forums and building a community. with a stronger community you can then bounce ideas and strategies off players.

SO HERE IS WHAT I PROPOSE

BRM offers Mob points for forum activity. The more lively the forums, the stronger the community and with active forums you can then interact with players about exact situations and offer feedback on your play. I feel the forums can become incredibly active with a little incentive.

FYI: You can embed youtube videos within your post - so it's not really an issue - it's almost the same thing as BRM hosting them, from a user-end point of view.

Totally agree. If you bigfoot or some of other members could find interesting educational strategy threads I would post them. That should be good start. Also, everyone who have something to write about any poker topic please do so. I think is time to stop writing rigged, freeroll etc. threads and discuss real poker related stuff.

You mean like the 50 free points you can get every single day just by posting (ie. being active in the forum)? BRM is already pretty gracious with offering incentive to post, I think. Offering any more than that would encourage spammers, and allowing people to get paid for unlimited posts would bring in the bots.

Also, isn't building good initial starting info for new members and old a good community building exercise?

Awesome, looks like you've already found some good stuff to add to the first thread. Just browsed through and it looks like a great start. Maybe when this bad boy gets a little bigger we can get a sticky, if not it's worth bumpin'
