OK somebody obviously takes things to heart. Its a scam because where does the money go? Not anywhere where it should do thats for sure. If you want to start an argument you'll get it, you NEVER know what the f**k, you yourself are on about. Angry Angry Angry If you had any sense you'd realise my above quote was not necessarily true, but a build up to a punchline.

Obviously the profit would go to a new monastery. The rake to the village people and whatever they were smoking was necessary for them to be able to play this sin game called poker. They are Heroes, or at least .... humans.

Would the winning monk take the money for himself in the end? It seems this was blown out of proportion somehow. Not for me to agree or disagree with their actions but i think they were just having some fun.

"Donations for religions are a scam" Yes i agree with Sadamman's first point too (deepens who/what for!), My point was there's more corrupt Religions than Buddhist monks playing poker for $875,00

Find me the link where it says the pope believes in aliens. He's never said that. He's acknowledged its more likely they do exist than they don't. But he's never said "yeah aliens exist and I believe in them." Plus him acknowledging the possibly of them existing is more out of obligation than belief. It's the 21st century, and you're seen as more weird if you don't believe they exist these days. He was just trying to move an outdated religion into the modern day to try to ensure its survival.

Religions what a s**t. An what a nice guys, the monks. Some of them go to bed with kids, anothers spend money in poker (and all of them in luxuries do you remember some religionman who lives poorly?). And don´t forget about the ones who kill people...

Religion must dead.

We have to remember that South Korea lives with a dictator, who limits citizens’ freedom and rights a lot. I believe that, even if it was just a “normal” garage poker game between monks, it would be a scandal there in the same, as they are supposed to dedicate their lifes (24/7) to the religion and the act of praying. Now, just to smile a bit with the situation, it must be tough to beat a monk at a table because he always have God on his side!

It's a shame that they are playing on real money and especially on such large amounts of money...

I mean they could have played on chips if they really like the game and it's even worse if they played with money from donations Sad
