I think you're wrong. It's just adware.

"win32.adware.casinoclient is a back door for hackers (fact)"

Can you please show me your fact source? And I mean from an actual AV site (not a poker site or a youtube site).

"Adware
Software that is designed to launch advertisements, frequently pop-up ads, on a user’s computer and/or to redirect search results to promotional Web sites. Adware programs are often built into freeware or shareware programs, where the adware creates an indirect ‘charge’ for using the free program. Sometimes a trojan can silently download an adware program from a Web site and install it onto a user’s machine.
Hacker tools, or Browser Hijackers, can also download an adware program by exploiting a web browser’s vulnerability. Browser Hijackers may tamper with the browser settings, redirect incorrect or incomplete URLs to unwanted Web sites, or change the default home page. They can also re-direct a user’s searches to “pay-to-view” (often pornographic) Web sites.
Typically, many adware programs do not leave any marks of their presence in the system: they are not listed on Start | Programs; they add no icons to the system tray; and they don’t show up on the task list. In addition, adware programs seldom provide an uninstallation procedure, and attempts at manually removing them frequently result in failure of the original carrier program."

------------
A bit more searching and I can't turn up ANY page that suggests it's anything other than adware. Don't be so sensationalist - or at the very least - post a source instead of writing "fact".

------------
Possibly you've just misunderstood the word 'trojan' .

Complete BS and a total failure to understand the term 'trojan' and 'adware'.

WSOP poker site does not share the exact same platform as 888 poker, i mean they are both of pacific network, right?

I've been playing on 888 poker from some time now but i never had problems, thanks for the heads up though.

not sure if your statement is true- there are rumors about this possibility but no real evidence being given, so maybe it is a good thing to be careful, i doubt something is being cooked up here...of course you can wait a bit and see how things sort themselves out- let others do the risk, and see the outcome

About Adware CasinoClient
Casino Client is an adware that monitors keywords you input when using search engines and contacts its controlling server to retrieve targeted advertisements to display them on your computer. This program may also slow down your computer performance.

How to Remove CasinoClient ?

Remove this spyware using Spyware Doctor.

Follow these removal steps to manually remove this adware from your computer:

Reboot to Safe mode (press F8 key when your system boots up)
Open a DOS command prompt window ( Start > Run , type 'cmd' (on Windows NT/2000/XP ) or 'command' (on Windows 95/98/Me)) and enter the following commands:

cd "%ProgramFiles%\Cas\Client\"
regsvr32 /u casmf.dll

Click Start > Run, type 'regedit', and click Ok to open the Registry eidtor.
Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

In the right pane find and delete the entry with the value "CAS Client" that points to the file "%ProgramFiles%\Cas\Client\casclient.exe".

Navigate to and delete the following registry keys (if present):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\AppID\Main.DLL
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\AppID\ {E0DC5CC4-25A5-4BC7-A3AA-3525733DC796}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\ {8293D547-38DD-4325-B35A-F1817EDFA5FC}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\TypeLib\ {D4C89C18-B4F3-46A9-8800-E9E7A55AFBD9}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Main.MimeFilter
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Main.MimeFilter.1
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CAS

Exit Registry Editor.

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options, select the Programs tab and then click on the "Reset Web Settings" to reset your Internet Explorer settings. Go to Reboot the computer.

Delete the folder "%ProgramFiles%\Cas\Client\" and all the contents within it.

Reboot your computer.

Where does it say "a hacker can use this to his advanage example"
It's a C&P from Norton

I think you misunderstand, IF you have a trojan IT could download the adware(in this case casinoCliant) not the other way around.

It is just adware (fact) put in brackets for definitive proof.

Just remove it, most security software will do it, think malware removed mine.

well only downlaod poker clients foms trustable souces then im sure a link from bankollmob would never give you hacked vesion of the poker client. it only when you download hacked versions of dodgy websites that that would be a problem. besides any decent virus sofware would have the edited version of win32.adware.casinoclient in its virus definitions. if you have no antivirus software then you only got yourself to blame

ps if you download antivirus software from a dodgy website it can also be hacked to exclude certain viruses from its definitions.
once again its all about trustable sources.

you statment is not that win32.adware.casinoclient gives people access to you you computer but that a hacked version can. thats the same for most things and if you worried about back doors then you should stop using windows altogether. its got THOUSANDS of them

get your tongue from his ass,

You have a complete failure to comprehend and are embarrassing yourself.

Given that - I do agree it should be removed and definitely shouldn't be tolerated. But it simply doesn't do the things you describe and you're yet to post a (credible) source identifying the threats you outline and list as (fact).

Never good to have such programs installed in your computer i think.
Either its adware, malware, virus or whatever.

The interesting thing though is that in the link provided above i saw about a program
removing locked files. I hope this one works, cause some programs are a pain in removing.

Agreed.

All my poker clients get flagged up on my anti virus - they have similar properties to real trojans im guessing.
