Its certainly possible to make more than $200/month,much more IMO.
It still doesnt take anything other than having a solid overall game to beat,say,$10 SNGs with a small +ROI. Then have a good rakeback deal and grind grind grind, volume is the key.
Having good multitabling and grinding skills and a few hours per day combined with a decent rakeback deal will definitely make you more than $200/month in rakeback alone IMO,even playing $2 SNGs thats possible (for example, lets say someone plays on IPoker and grinds the $2.40 SNGs,with a 50% Rakeback deal (easy to find) it'd take only 1K games per month to make $200 in rakeback. 1K games with decent grinding skills and enough time is super easy Blink )).
So yeah,as long as you teach the person a solid style and they are willing to apply it,$200 is a very low set goal, they should be able to make at least tripple the amount per month if they have the right dedication

Good post Thumbs Up

Yes maybe more, but for poor people from poor countrys $200 a month is allready a milestone.
So first goal is like $100+ a month.
And yes if the player is dedicated its possible no doubt.

Hey Doom, what you think about few of us, mobsters with reputation, join together to share tourney BI. For example, you, me, jess, flipped, mahd, bemy etc... decide who will play that day lets say 20$ tourney and 4 of us gives 4,5$ to guy thats playing and if he cashes we split winnings in equal 5 parts.

Not a good idea, these types of deals are usually not +EV unless the player has ~100% expected ROI (thats why the people that actually make money staking others all do longterm stakes)

Interesting - as in I'll stake you for the next 10 tournaments and I get 50% kinda deal?

That makes sense due to the variance of tournament poker.

I tell you one thing, I think being staked is great for a player lacking a little discipline, could be the thing to rein their over aggression/ carelessness in as they know their hands are being scrutinised.

Yeah,10 tournaments is still a very very low number, but the more games the better for the staker of course, because the lower the variance will be (if the player is a winning player) Blink
I'm also currently in a longterm deal (for SNGs up to $35 and any MTTs I want to play as long as in profit) and that deal runs for 5000 games. Coaching for free is included as well.
I already had a 5K games deal with the same 2 guys and got a 50/50 deal.
2 days ago I finished my 5K games with them and signed a new deal with them,60/40 in my favour this time, with the same coaching commitments obv. Blink
With this many games variance is very very limited so there is pretty much no risk for the staker here except the player runs with the BR,thats why they are willing to give deals where the player gets a higher % than the staker (shortterm deals are always 50/50 tops for the player, usually more like 70/30 in favour of the staker)

As for playing staked overall,I mainly stayed with them for the new deal because of the coaching,it really improved me alot as a player and for my poker mindset as well, and helped me being able to beat midstakes SNGs by now, which I wouldnt have thought is possible a few months ago Blink
Also I wouldnt have the 3K starting BR I received for this stake as my own money to deposit,so if I wasnt staked I would have to go back to micros or lowstakes at most and grind it all back, regular cashouts would have even slowered the rebuilding process,so yeah,it would have taken me loads of time to get back to the stakes I am playing staked now Blink

I think you did not get what I was thinking bemy. Not staking but sharing BI for one tourney in day/week and not for increasing profits but for fun. Would be interesting cause it would be railing, commenting and stuff during and after tournament. I was not talking about that as a long term profit stuff but as one shot at time for fun.

------------
Anyway if someone is interested in doing it let me know. I (or somebody else) will make tread where we can decide what tourney, BI, site and whos playing Blink

It seems you got a nice deal there.
Didnt know you were staked at that height Smile
I hope your new deal goes better than the last one ( you already got higher percentage)
and make some profit permitting you to go for the whole cake.
