Want to stake me jovi? You saw me going till the semi-finals at the 1st BRM HU Championship, is that enough to make you trust my skills? The only problem is that I don’t have that much time I would like to dedicate to this, but I think I can play HU about four hours per week, and some more on Saturday night. I could start dedicating only for HU, it would be a great experience for me, since I never done this before. Who knows if I end up discovering my golden egg chicken? How would this start? On Pokerstars, having you sending me some money? Which level do you think I should play? $1.10 buy-in, less, more? About the profit share, I will leave that to you, I just can’t figure out what could be the result of this, only trying. Just to let you more relaxed, you can be sure that, if you come to stake me, taking in consideration I only have a couple of cents in Stars, I would apply all of your investment in HU. Let me tell you in advance that if we get to an agreement about this, I will be playing and winning for the pleasure of keeping a healthy and (hopefully) a wealthy business relation with another mobster.

@jovi: excellent post buddy, and i myself and definately interested in the idea for a few reasons. would love to talk more and here is what i am thinking thus far...
one reason i am mainly interested is as ive been on the forums now for quite some time i know just from reading here you are a very well balanced and skilled player who well quite frankly i much rather would have as a friend then a foe lol so respect there! where respect is due!
Also I would not mind adding a small chunk to my Broll ATM as I am just taking a break from a sessh now from a small down-swing (2 or 3 micro buy in loses so i like to take a breather) after a nice up swing from earlier on.
little about myself, i currently live in toronto ont, and play poker probably a good 5 hours a day on average as i am not currently working due to minor health issues (love ontario disability hehe such a nice little check they send me monthly )
I am also fresh off a poker break and imo after a good break from the game with a little poker reading and light poker researching just here and there is always good for a players game. thus far doing well and on the right path up for just doing a deposit again after the break not many days ago. i also just started up a new Blog on here ( had an old one but due to hiatus i decided just to start a new one seemed just as easy and kinda like a nice fresh start )
I consider myself a good well rounded over all tight player though when needed i can get in there down and dirty and same as you love a good HU game. lately my game play has tighten due to some re thinking my game and this and that. and I've noticed some results start to show from the self improvements as well.
well a little cons i guess to try to seem a bit fair in this my stats from years of bad bankroll management and some tilting issues dont look the greatest but i am definately a man of some smarts in general and have been raised playing poker all my life right from sitting on my dads lap when i was a kid while he played at family games to now, where live my last three times i played a tourny live mind you its been a while i final tabled those, and i am fairly good at online.
as for terms what i was thinking is 15 on stars sounds like a good amount maybe do either a certain set amount to aim for or possibly go for a timed way of the potential pay back/ interest. as for the percents imo the staker is doing all the risk for only a chance at reward so imo a fair number is like 65/35 in fav of the staker.
let me know what you think and as i said i respect you as a player and as someone who shows some skill for sure so my big thing is the contact so that i might learn a thing or two from a rather well rounded player (not trying to like brown nose lmfao truely admire players who show skill )

I see lot of people have doubt why Im want to do this. Reason is simple. I want to do it because its interesting and kinda fun idea. I wont go to staking site because I dont take it that seriously and I wont be able to do full coaching which is required. Also, I have some reputation here and I know who is who. And I love this site (even I had some...hmmm..). To respond to people now: @Uhhcallmi: I checked your stats. From what I can see you are solid player on MTTs and kinda bad on STT and HU. Also I remember your post where you sad that you dont know how anyone can win long term in HU. For now Im looking for HU player, since I am interested for that right now. Thanks for effort and long post. If I choose to do this at all and if I choose to do it with MTTs (If I make any profits with this, thats where money will go) you are my first pick. Until then listen to my advice and do what you good at: play MTTs especially because of bad BRM issues and you will do just fine. On a more serious note though, if you are only looking for HU players, I'm pretty decent at HU, but thats mainly from getting HU in tournaments. I've deffo done some normal HU SNGs but I'm pretty sure its not many, and its probably not too good a record. I'm not sure if I've got a forum reputation or record that would merit you even considering staking me, but god loves a tryer.

About 2 weeks ago after seeing your HU stats I decided to play just HU too for a while to see how I do. I deposited 21,50$, transfered 20 to a friend and started playing HU. In about 18 1,50$ HU SnG I was already up more than 20$, lost only 2 or 3 of them. The same guy I was talking about earlier that doesn't have a credit card (and can't have one) regularly asks me for 20$ so I just transfered it to him to make sure I keep my profit (+ he actually gives me 25 back IRL). That is my main "mistake": everytime I've won a couple hundreds I cashed out the entire bankroll, and when I build a small bankroll from a couple of bucks, I always end up giving it to my gambler friend (but he won 2k in a 1$ tournament on FTP last year so I don't feel bad about it ). But that's also a way for me to know I'm in the green and I stay in the greenr, wich I like.
Anyways, I concider myself a good HU player because I have many "gears". I'm capable of calling a 3 barrel bluff with ace high against an agressive opponent if the timing and the board are good (I've done it last week IRL in a MTT, was an awesome spot to do that because I had a gutshot on the flop and a nut flush draw on the turn then blank J on the river), and I'm also able to fold 2 pairs when the river brings a flush and a straight and vilain shoves But mostly I adapt to the player in front of me, since in HU most of the time you're actually playing your opponent's cards more than your own. If he's tight, I will try some steals and if he's agressive I'll try to turn his own agressivity against him.
My account name on stars is Cicatrace, but I'm not opted-in on sharkscope yet so you won't have much info there. I'm mostly a live player, I don't like multi tabling and I like to analyze every detail wich is why I don't invest much money on online poker.
EDIT: On another subject: I would like to have some information about your HU style. Seems like you play small ball poker mostly, 2x raising pre flop and c betting a lot? Seems like a winning style if you're able to do the tough folds/calls, could you tell me more about it?

I play small ball. Thing is that I play with no pattern. I will cbet every flop if my opponent is tight an rarely float. I will cbet only with goods if I play against station. I can do huge 3 barrel bluffs, I can bet only when I have it. All depends of opponent. Key thing is to use brain and get feel for opponent.
Cicatrace was my old nick. Nowadays I use TheMachineQc when I subscribe to a new site, on PKR for example. I sent you a friend invite on facebook but I don't use facebook much so it might not be the best way to communicate.

I've been meaning to post here since I first read the thread but I just haven't had the time to come around to it. Anyway, you said that you were looking for HU players so I'm afraid I can't help you there. But if you ever want someone to stake who plays MTTs, I would rate myself as quite decent when it comes to that. My bankroll is atm $0.00 since I recently cashed out. And I guess you're wondering why I cashed out every single cent and the reason is simple: I play freerolls to get a small roll going so I can get some micro buy-ins for MTTs and then I go from there.
Obviously, this isn't really a good way to make money, truth is I don't make that much, but with no risk of loosing my own money, it's better then nothing since I'm atm, well, broke.
I just looked at my stats for MTTs on PartyPoker ((using sharkscope)which is the only site I really play at) and I have a total profit of $139. It's small potatoes I know, but still, it's positive figures so I might be able to improve that a little bit more if I've got someone to stake me.
I realize that I'm relatively new to the forum so I understand if I'm your last choice
