I believe we will all be able to play together sooner than we know. That rule just doesn’t make any sense, it’s like creating new frontiers inside European Union, after Maastricht Treat put them down. And like Portuguese government putting pay tolls in every road entrance in the country… There’s got to be an end for these measures.
why is this happening something to do with money i would guess. is it the same thing that happend in the usa . why not leave people to play what they want in there own homes

Yeah so i've heard.. funny we see alot of news about poker regulations and restrictions almost everyday but they seem like a distant thought or maybe just a threat.. but then it happens :O
Nothing to do but keep on playing it's not very nice tbh for the serious poker player but whatever.. it's zeh law.

I actually played this morning couple of hands with a spanish player. So let me get this straight: You'll only be able to play against other spanish players?

what a disasterous news, had read it before but reply now... sad to hear..
i hope this will not effect all countries,, then were are all screwed...
i have spend thoussands of hours online...if they shut all down ,,it's energy lost..time lost...
extualy a good reason to sue these countries..why the did not think of this before????
Goverments suck ,big time....we got the EPT,WSOP,WPT and so on,,,,why allow these big tournaments for years and now regulate...
man, man,,i hate these governemtents...at least anounce it a few years before,,instead of instant shut/down certain area´s...maybe then i would have never stepped into onlinepoker.

Until you kick me out i will be part of the forum, Greenmohave .
uhhcallmi, the worst is not the regulation (and is a horrible one) is the way they kill poker a little example of the taxes they want we pay:
I play 1000 SnG 5€/year (5000€ 'spend') I won with this SnG, for example, 5500€. Net win 5500-5000 = 500 + rakeback.
Now i´m go to pay taxes (around 16-25%)... Goverment wants the 16-25% of the 5500€!!!!!! At this time we pay taxes not for net winning. Great uh? The goverment say that will be change it but...
quebex+british columbia haev their own poker site in canada. it is not manditory for canadians to play with canadians but i feel since black friday that this is the direction that the government wants the next generation of poker to migrate to.
