Posted by Administrator: But that would still allow for one guy to do 70 posts in a row, making 700 points. Then wait one week and do it again. After about a month he will have 5000 points and $50 (if he referers a few players as well).
is there a time limit that you would want there to be when a person can reach 5000 points through posting??? is that what you guys are trying to achieve? but also that loaning thing is a more updated verison that what i was saying and it prolly better as well...

I do not understand why so much problem because of the points. I think people should post here poruqe like or has something interesting to share with others, I myself am not very active in the forum, ja posted a few times when I found interesting or has had some doubts about some issues. I think it is a good initiative and I hope that really give some, but never forgetting to also add new promotions and which include Brazilian lately because we are being excluded from various promotions offered by Bankrollmob. Earned guys and good luck to all!

Posted by Administrator: So for me, it would be around 1770 posts / 210 days = 8,4 posts a day on average. Lets say that all my posts contains more than 100 characters (highly unlikely), then before I would be paid 8,4 posts * 8 points = 67 points a day. Where now it would be 5 posts * 10 points = 50 points a day. Not a very big difference. And remember that only a very few people actually have such a high "average posts per day" as 8,4 !! Keep that in mind
Thats a bad example..
BTW, do you have to wait 24 hours since your last post or does the time reset at 00:00?
And lets say you post 5 times in off topic and than 5 times in 10 point thread, how many points would you get? (All posts over 100 characters). Would you get 25 points or 50 points?

According to Admin's explanation, it will count from the firs of the 5 posts. now, for the points, It will just award points to the first 5 posts. so lets say you've got 2 on-topic = 20, 2 off-topic = 16? and 1 posts with less than 100, then you would only get the 2 on topic and 2 off topic.

It will count for the first 5 paid post, regardless of it being 5 or 10 points worth a post. And it does not reset at a specific time, it's within a 24 hour period.
But if it's such a big problem, then we can just disable all the points for posting
I like the whole limited posts initiative, it may just be coincidental but it does seem as if the posts have dropped off to a more reasonable level, nobody wants a dead forum but one full of spam is almost as bad.
I also think that the same level of success was found when you guys introduced the 100 character limit on posts, almost immediatly lots of the spam seemed to die off.
So pretty much what im getting at is i think that you have been consistently hitting the nail on the head, and if you continue doing this things should only keep getting better
off topic: shouldnt the 1000 winner be drawn about now, i thought the april fools joke said something about it being within a week, you guys are pushing that deadline

Thanks SCDosset, Personally I believe the the initiatives have been working well, but they will most likely require adjustments anyway. As for the "dead forum", that's not an issue here Of course the activity has dropped recently because:
1) 100 char limit for points 2) Less marketing from our side (less new users) 3) Some of our most active users seem to be taking a break from the forum - everybody needs some time off once in a while 4) The recent change, 5 paid post a day
But this site does not depend on the forum at all, but we are confident that the forum will be much more active later on, as we upgrade our offers, features etc., and start again with more marketing
And yes, the $1000 winner should be published today as I've been informed last week. The draw was made randomly in the weekend by an independent person.
I have just signed up beacuse I wanted free money to play Texas Holdem, and I just saw that I can earn money by forum posting, too. I think it is a very good idea, and you can expect to read a lot of posts of mine. I go back looking Montecarlo EPT, bye
OH I THINK THAT IS A VERY GOOD IDEA AND I LIKE IT SO THE FORUM WILL BE EVER MUCH MORE ACTIVE . THANK YOU BANKROLLMOB FOR YOURS VARIOUS PROMOTIONS GOOD LUCK BOYS!
yes ithat is a very good idea in trying to get to 5000 points so i can have 50 deposited on party poker so i can get that other 25 from my bonus ill half to work at it every day to get 5000 points but have them at 10 points a post is going to make it fast to get ther

I agree with Geneyuss on that one. I must rather see the points for posting go and instead see a raise in the referral system or a little referral bonus for referrals not included on the "good" list.

It won't do much a difference I'm afraid, removing points for posting and increasing points for referral instead. Roughly, it would only allow between 1 and 3 referrals a day if it were to equal the daily "expenses" of forum points.
And remember, there's much more people at BankrollMob, than those just active in the forum And some of them earn quite a good buck referring players.
ok im a bit confused by all of this...so if i post say just once a day more than 100 characters then ill get 10 mob points? im a newbie here its all very confusing i have to say...im still trying to work it out! any help would be good...great site tho
------------ example...do i get points for that last post?vvvv confuzzzed

Yeah I think that this is the fairest system that you have proposed so far. It keeps down spamming while still rewarding posting effectively. Well played admin.

But if you only give MobPoints when someone receives a bankroll than you would be able to give out more mobpoints right? That just makes sense to me but I guess its good to get members too even if they don't apply any.
