Edit: I kinda do this shove in this spot with any 2, how about you?

Yeah, I pretty much do the same - with a few exceptions:

* If I've shoved the last few hands (maybe had good cards) I might be hesitant about shoving any two knowing that people will call light
* If players in blinds are ultra loose/passive players likely to call with too wide a range

But unless I have a good reason to believe I am going to be called lite, then I shove most cards.. Almost any two - but I prefer to have a bit more equity than say 27os - but I'll shove any 2 suited, any connected, anything with a broadway, etc. Basically the only cards I wont shove in this spot are low, unconnected, unsuited cards.

------------
Oh - just saw you were small blind, not button.

That changes it a little - I try not to shove every time it's folded to me in sb, otherwise bb will correctly adjust his range and call me wider.

I try and mix it up a bit, shoving from button, sb, hijack, cut-off, etc. Basically any LP and sb

I agree that it's pushing or folding, with you having a CSI < 7.
Everyone folded, so it's just the BB left. I think the BB has an extremely tight range to be able to call this. So I'm sure this is a correct play in the long run (the BB will fold often enough to make it profitable).

This is what you mean when you say you're playing to win rather than to be ITM, right?

How often can you pull this off without being conspicuous?

As for me, I'm probably folding due to lack of courage, waiting for a better spot.

Yes, if we get called by AK/AQ we not far behind, in fact its kinda a flip.
I dont mind getting called a stealer, then they must call with their KJs or something i dont care to bust.

Easy shove with all the antes in the pot and less than 20 BB in our stack. Of cause it looks like donkplay, if the BB wakes up with a big pocket pair tho.

I rare do that since I have 20BB or more. Bluff/semibluff on button or cut off looks like danger now, cos everyone know the theory. manytime I saw SB or BB call with Ax or Kx !!

Is 10 8 suited bluff ? I don't think so. For me medium suited connector/gap is better than small pair.
Depend on WHEN play it.

How do you think ? I need advise, too. Simple but good discuss Doomdy Smile Smile

Hmm... Dunno about this one, you still had quite a bit of fold equity. I've been known to make plays like this myself but it never works out for me. Sad You won though, so it's irrelevant what I think, you obviously run good enough to make these plays. I wish I had your luck you've got crazy voodoo skillz. Cool

Nothing to do with luck just basic ICM strategy.

I know but it was lucky not to run into something, I do the same, I just run into something when I do, because I'm unlucky.

Jess pretty much nailed it. Shoving wide is pretty much unexploitable, because you can always shove a lot wider than they can. If you know they'll call down lighter, just shove a bit tighter.

With only >10BB left, you NEED to be taking absolutely any reasonable spot that you can to pick up chips, and that's definitely a good spot.

Agree that this is a basic shove in your position. Youre on about 6M so a good shout at this point. The BB has you covered and would need a pretty convincin g hand to go with you so overall a good spot to shive.
