Play for guess 4/5 years now but only SNGs and MTTs never cashgames. So started yesterday and today a bit with a couple of NL50 and NL25 full ring (PKR). Break even for now but have no sample size. What can i say so far? Nothing yet offcourse, but i guess money to be made, i see so much fish Btw i dont use tracking software.

Doomdy, I see a lot of fish in those games to and generally only play SnG, but recently started in some of the bounty type tournaments. None of that really matters as to what my interests are. I was curious as to what you think about using tracker software and do you think there's a lot of them in use and that's why there seems to be a lot of fish? Do they know when there's or a chance when the cards will fall their way by using these trackers.

I work like 70h+ a week so no much time for MTTs nowadays, allways was intrested in cashgames but never did, so now take a shot for also maybe the next future.
@Green: For SNG&MTT i dont need them, for cash if i ever gonna do it serious its a must imo.

Yeah..cash game nice if we just have short time, can stop any time. Did you just play at same table Doomdy? never move table when you win (amount of winning more/less same with money you bring in). Some poker strategy suggest it, but sometimes I lazy and my winning lost - up and lost again. How you ? Move table is better for me after win.

Allways buy full stack and allways auto-reload and never run when double/triple/quadro up.

might be true,,20k hands,,
But if you evaluate after 20k hands ,,or you have become a pro pokerplayer..or your at the point
of searching for a nice carton box.. to spend the night...and your pokerhobby/carriere is over.
So ,maybe someone can give us a way to come to conclusions at an earlier stage???
I myself have decided that cashgames ,are something to try once in a while...
playing this all day ,is playing with fire ,for me...best results i have had on cashgames is by playing short period of time at a table...easy to win some or double /triple up...
then if i stay i will def. get K-K against any card killing me,,,many times A-A tho..
or get a BB-hand where i have to defend ,hit a straight on the flop,,and still lose..
this is not variance ,,this is experience..my experience...
i understand this happens not to all of us ,and some play 12-24 tables and still end their session winning ,but for me it simply does not work this way,,
So will still use my shortstack,,,hit and run strategy...at least that works for me,,,no mather what the limit or stakes are..have played up to 2$-4$ .
My advice to doomdy: i'd say ,stay of the cashgames if ur a tournamentplayer...
But, heey if you don't try ,u will not have a confirmation ,if u good at it or not..
anyway,try control ur loses,,,before it's too late...
psycologicly things work like this in gambling...; The more u lose, the more u want revenge, and get your money back...that's the point where the danger of gamblingaddiction is just around the corner...or u have become a member of AnonymousGamblers already...without knowing it...
Be Carefull ,all u mobbers outthere,,,don't get addicted...revenge is a bad motive..
Good luck ,,and wish u all the patience to get monsters and win megapots ,without overplaying them.

You should give a look to SSS and MSS... Maybe those strategies suit better to your playing style than BSS! It always depends on how agressive are you... You should also use a tracking software to improve your game! It can help a lot to improve and make some more money

wow 4/5 years and never played cash games- i just wonder was there something behind this decision i mean when i started playing poker i tried everything possible- not immediately, but with time i tired sng's, mtt's- all formats, then cash games- again tried all poker forms- from holdem to razz...

Why did you chose PKR for starting this new experience? Why haven’t went for Stars? Were you affraid of the competition, or was it just the room where you were already used to play SnGs and MTTs? For a starter, i think you do well in going for the full ring tables, it gives you more time to act and i tis better to understand the game. Smaller tables have more action and turn more risky. Keep coming with your results and GL!

Its just that my main room is PKR and competition is really soft.
Update: Not had long sessions yet, if i have sometimes spare time i prefer MTTs rather then cash. For now its just break even-ish.

I'll be following along.. As you may have read, I purchased HEM2 & Leak Buster about a month ago and so far the cash sessions I've had have been disastrous.. admittedly, wel below EV - but even EV adjusted, they were still losing sessions...
I hate to admit it - but I do better these days playing cash games if I'm playing with 20-50bb rather than 100bb. I just find it really difficult to lose my MTT instincts, I used to be fairly good at deep-stacked cash games.. Now, I'm finding it really hard to find my footing again - I've basically just started avoiding it again lol .
Anyway - really wish you luck with it, one massive advantage you will have over me is discipline.. I know you're the King bankroll-management nit.. So I don't really see you taking drunken shots at 3am vs any of the cash giants / HU regs.
Might be worth investing in HEM if you want to take your [cash] game seriously, combined with leak buster, as far as I've looked through it - it's incredibly useful in identifying your weaknesses (i.e; common spots where you're losing money).

Good luck with the switch to cash games Doomdy. I usually play cash due to time restrictions, but honestly if I could I would rather play MTT. The satisfaction I get when I bink a tournament with many players is much greater than stacking opponents on big hands, which obviously is what you are after at the cash tables. I am playing full stack too, with autoreload to the max.

So your saying if I start playing more tournaments I should invest in a tracker? I'm not real educated on how to use one nor do I really know what their capabilities are. I guess I could just Google it or do you have a suggestion?

I find that I try and read to much into my tracker stats and I play better without a HUD. There are so many multi-tabelling NITs in the cass game that it is hard to find a edge to exploit.
