I'd say for normal speed SNGS(10 minute blinds), at least 30+ BI is the bare minimum. Depending on how much of a skill edge you think you have, you may get away with it, but 50 is ideal to prevent ruin due to variance.

If it's less than 10, say 5 minutes, I'd recommend at least a minimum of 50 with 100 being ideal, due to the higher variance you'll experience playing them.

Thanks retri.....its 8 minute blinds so maybe around 30 to 40 buy ins is already good.... I am almost there maybe have to spend a while in 0.11SNG and if it goes up to 30+BI i will start playing 1.2SNG....

Well it doesn't hurt to take shots, say play a 1.2 sng every once in awhile, just don't play them exclusively until your roll can sustain downswings.

SNG has a lower variance compared to MTT but since you also want to change the limit my adice would be to have at least 40-50 buy ins before you make the jump Blink

I'm sure you know that is possible to lose a bit on first, it happens all the time when you move up in limits.

How many tournments do you play per day??? Maybe instead of gowing up in level you should play more at this level!

Aminimum of 50 buyins is a solid bankroll for the micro sng´s. It´s a strong way from hero to zero and it needs a maximum of discipline. GL at the tables!

I recommand allways 50+ buyins for SNG, MTT even more 200+ buyins.
Total nittyness ftw.
Its better to have a great shot at a higher limit then a half shot.

You should have at least 20 times what you’re puting in the game. Which means that, if you want to go for the 1.20 SnG, you should have $24 in the cashier. This may seem too much, but you will understand it if you see yourself loosing three times in a row. Many players follow this rule and they stop their day when they lose three entrances. If you go for this with less, you can rapidly find yourself wanting to play the 0.11 again with only $1 at the acount, which means you can put yourself in a very risky situation. The idea of having “so much” Money compared with the amount you’re playing is exactly not to risk all the bankroll in one session.

I would also recommand to have a bankroll of 50 buyins for normal speed SNG's.
IF you wanna go up in the levels faster : play more SNG's at a time (full ring)
Try 2 or 3 and if you feel comfortable play more at a time.

I would suggest to play already sith 20bb. But short handed. It`s lot easier to make BR grow like mushrooms after the rain.

I started out playing the .60 & $1.10 SnG's myself (27 to 45 players). It's where I seemed to do the best based on making the payoff at the final table. I generally play the $2.20 to $5.50 SnG's now (45 players) and if you can place 1st one out of every ten you stay ahead.

I think you'll find yourself playing with less donks / fish as you move up the buyin level. It seems like there was a considerable difference between $1.10 (18 player) and the $2.20 to $5.50 (45 player) level.

AYARALED..... have played these SNG at Betfair....maybe you could try a different site...maybe using one of the offers on BRM and test out different opponents and different set ups on other sites to broaden your experience. Good advice all above re 20 x buy in at least.

With regards to the result going up to 1.2SNG and DON....it was not that horrible...I win some DON and lost some so its quite break even...I played 8 tables total...I win 5 out of 8...But my game was not that good...It was a little scared poker.... Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile ....In 1.2SNG... Played 3 tables and never and did not win anything...Scared poker i think...Back to playing 0.11SNG...

Hmmm, well if you're playing Don's, then you can be a little bit more flexible in terms of bankroll management, as there's substantially less variance in DON'S as opposed to normal 50/30/20 STT's.

You said you're plaiyng on Yachting? I think I ended up playing a few DONS against you, before I stopped playing there. Tried talking to you, but you must have had chat off or something Smile How many tables can you play at once? I found that the traffic didn't really make it worth trying to grind SNGS, because they took so long to fill.
