Nice victory. Sometimes it's worth to invest a bit more on a game ($12 for a tourney with a first prize of $370 is a good shot), and this was just a proof of that. The field wasn't very big, but i am sure there were lots of good players, a normal donk don't usually spend $12 in these type of tourneys. Can't say when was the last time i played at PKR, but many around here are giving me the will to return there. The problem is my PC hardware...

Tell me do you have problems with PKR going slow with the graphics and all that taking it down?

sometimes, i play it on a laptop so ive turned the graphic settings right down. it freezes on me if i try and play more than 2 tables, need a new computer i think

not had time fo poker for 2 weeks so ive got a free day fo it today stuck 120 on there. wanted to play 10 tourneys but happy wih that start cashed out twice my deposit aleady and im set for some good poker, playing next in the prestige cause theve got some sort of half price special $50 wish me luck

Very nice and good to hear someone having some good gaming at the tables. Lately there hasn't been many posts about how well or poor some of the Mobsters are doing at the tables . Always good to hear a Mobster winning! Good Luck to All!

I keep meaning to go and have a look at PKR, using the ofer on here at good old BRM.....maybe in the enxt few weeks I will move some money around and sign up. It seems a popular place to be and well worth a look.

Grats man - and I agree- PKR is great for the small-stakes MTT players.. OK - if yo're a serious grinder able to play 20+ MTTs a day; 100+ / week - then you can probably smash through the high-variance large-field events on Stars/Party/etc. But for somebody unable to play those volumes required to over-come the variance in 2000+ runner events, PKR is awesome. Short fields means regular final table payouts.. Means you can play with a looser bankroll management too.
On PS you need 100+ buyins, to overcome the swings, when you're playing games with only 50-300 runners, you can get by with a lot less buyins which means you can play bigger buyin events..

Congratulations on your win. Always nice finishing first no matter what the prize is, and the player field was a good one. With your prize money you can fuel your new buy ins trying to keep up with same results. gl with that and make tha bankroll grow

that win was what i need to get me in profit on pkr its crazy seeing the better results ive gained this year being active in this foum really does make you a better player. still i havnt grasped the concept of bankroll managment to well and i keep chasing my first four figure win, i want it so badly. have to say a lot of people saying quite a bit about the field sizes at PKR and i think they are just perfect, works out the same as a tourney down your local casino in my opinion and give fo a perfect game of poker. anyway think it is time i start getting wise about budeting my poker play always thought i was a profiting player but was suprised to descover shakscope and see the truth. ive got a few days a week to just play poker and i need to stop playing after work because it affects my results i think.
need a realistic target fo when i hit 1000 games on PKR want to show a good profit by then.

Funny how we all think we're a winning player until we get the proof pushed under our noses to look at. Hoping to have a decent go at PKR when I get back to my good PC. Using a 10-year old one right now, not ideal. Like everyone says, the fields are doable for non-grinders.

has anyone tried pkr lite? i have played on pkr, the regular version, just with the graphics down- and my netbook did a decent job on not getting on fire by playing a single table didn't have the guts to multitable though...great site for playing with fun in mind, they also have some nice variations on tourneys...
Yeah - I use it quite a bit; when ever I play on my laptop - which is pretty old now (about 7 years old) and works fine. Although laptop still over heats haha. But yeah - If you've got an older PC or a s**t graphics card (or worse a laptop with shared graphics) then PKR Lite is much better.
If you're multi tabling beyond 4 tables - they both look the same anyway, since even in the full 3D version you lose the 3D avatars etc anyway once you go >4 tables.

Grats to you, well done. Very nice winning indeed. Guess I should also take a closer look PKRs tourney schedule. Just played some games there and only have a small BR, but I think I will give it a try.
