Hmm, if you play smart and have enough patience you can win at any pokersite. The skill of people playing at PartyPoker would be.. average I think. So I think you should be able to get some money out of it Good luck!

Party poker is a good site, i got 5 dollars no deposit(not from bankrollmob, some other site) and made it to 40 in 2 days. cd poker is full of fishes- try searching player 'fivefinger' he plays too loose and agressive. Just whait for him, and take away his money He bring me over 100 dollars in 2 days.

Yeah, pretty lot of fishes there. If you stick with SSS then you should be fine, just beware on donks who just calls mercilessly then hits runners. It could tilt you and ruin your game.
depending on how new you are there is some advice i can give you, firstly go and read up about good starting hands, what pot odds are, and how you can see your percentage of outs. after that you should try and read up on good bankroll management. And lastly get out there and have some fun

SCDossett is spot on if you ask me. Preflop strategy, odds and bankroll management is the most important things to learn for a beginner . Regarding the sites the action is often pretty soft at the lower levels at all sites. The sites with rakeback deals are often a bit tighten since there is alot of regulars/grinders who take their game serious. When you wonna build a bankroll which I presume is your goal since you are new to the game you are looking for soft games and great bonus'. Party poker is pretty cheap but the action is very soft, actually so soft that I've kept playing there despite their cheap buisness(bonus wise that is). To break it down, yes I think Party is a good place to start. Great soft traffic and nice game selection
thank you M3 i was just reading the harrington on cash games books that just came out and i think they rehashed those basics the best of any that i have read so far online or off. His examples of play deeper than that are probably barely applicable in the games i play tho, because he is assuming they are players who can lay down over pairs or top pair top kicker hands, which i just havent seen much of at the low limits i play at. I would advise it to anyone looking for a poker read into deep stack cash games, you could most likely even get it through amazon on BRM

Oh perhaps I should give it a look. I read a bit Harringtons tournaments books but never cash books but you also say it's a new 1 right? I know what you are talking about, I've experienced it my self. When pro's talk about advanced strategy's that probably are very good but they need your opponent to be on same level of thought which they often are not when playing online. So many weird players if you ask me
i think that online you can learn bad habits that make you successful, like staying with top pair top kicker will make you money in a lot of pots even with reraises, so its not really the wrong play if its making you money
Fish is everywhere, but the level of players in Fixed Limit on low limit me seemed far higher than in other poker rooms. But this is my opinion. To wager bonusParty Poker - an ideal solution.
party poker is so full of player that are "new "( and not quite sure how to play propely)to the game i got called a fish for going all in with aces against kings lol "like im going to fold them " any way enjoy it its a good site
