Is deuces cracked worth the money?   0
Any members of deuces cracked here? Probably not as most people who post on this forum are micro or free roll players. Why do i ask? I am looking to invest money into further improving my Cash game skills and general poker skills as i currently can only turn a small profit at 25nl and and can only breakeven at 50nl which is due to run bad and not always playing my best due to my mental game issues. So what i ask would anyone recommend the investment for deuces cracked membership?

IMHO paying for a training site is probably only useful if you're already break-even @ nl100+, I think anything below nl100 / 200 and you'll probably find that most of the strategy isn't really very relevant.. I think there's plenty of free resources to become a winning player at the micros (anything below nl100).

Just my 2c, but I would bother with paying for advanced training or coaching until you're at least playing 50c/$1 stakes.

------------
In saying that, I'm not a member there, or anything other training site, although I've one a couple 'freebie' sessions at a couple sites and checked out a fair amount of the video content.

I disagree to an extent that some tanning sites are defiantly worth money. I have been a member of tourtement poker edge for 2 months a site dedicated to Mtt training and education and it is defiantly +EV. The insights you get into the hands these guys and how they play their hands and the though processes and insightful and informative which really helps the viewer refine how they think about their game. Also the instructors collectively have made millions of dollars in both live and online MTTs. Of course this is just an example of one site.

I don't doubt they're worth money, I just think that anything below nl100, or MTT buyins $20 and under, the strategy is wasted.

I'm not a fan of training sites either. It seems to me that plenty of people manage to make a profit without them and if you're not naturally skilled at something why spend good money trying to learn what good poker players already know. I realize of course that most sportsmen have coaches from an early stage right up til they are professionals but I don't see poker in the same way. I also wonder why anyone who is qualified to coach poker isn't a phenomenal poker player themselves and should therefore be a pro who doesn't need to coach. I highly doubt players who have won millions of dollars would bother passing on their expertise to others unless they believed it was getting impossible to make a profit with their skills.

Coaching is necesary at any level of play or sport(tennis, football, every sportsman has a coach, trainer)Poker is a sport at the end, maybe at Olympics in the future. Are sites with video coaching free, try them first than the others with subscription

Poker is a game not a sport, regardless of what commentators etc say. It will never be an Olympic event.

As for coaching, in egenral I think you either have it or you don't up to a certain level, but once you get to a spot, a coach or mentor is necessary for sure.

All the best sportsmen, competitors, actors, you name it, have had coaching.

But if you're playing low stakes and turning a profit Jesse is right in that a lot of the strategy won't pay off as it's aimed at being used against other very good players at high stakes.

There are some sites aimed at the lower stake players,
All the vids and info is on the net for free, you can improve your game that way.
Only join one of these sites if you are after hands on coaching, I have had a few sweat sessions in the past and my game improved over night.
Sometimes you need someone else to point out your mistakes in a game, even when you think you got your A game going.
Why not take advice from some one killing the stakes you play.

I'm not familiar at all with training sites and honestly feel I gained more reading here in the forum then anywhere else.
I'm not saying it's not good to invest into some site for training, but there's a lot of diversity due to the various player types and gaming methods when reading in a forum like this. Where I would have to think there's maybe one or two individuals beliefs in a training site, but that's just my uneducated opinion on the subject.
Although I haven't played with them I've read a lot of their threads. Both Jess thehuman and B1gfoot are well rounded players with advice that's worth taking.
Matter of fact all the replies here are excellent and that's what I think is so great about this forum. Everyone has their opinion and you'll find yourself using a bit of this and bit of that until you use it on regular basis towards improving your game.

I never joined a training site before so i can't say if it would help you or not but considering the limit you are playing i know the game there is prety straight forward too especially on FR..

If you consider that this subscriptions could give you an edge then go for it Smile
