It seems that everyone is playing poker these days, and seeming the “easy” Texas Hold'em No Limit. With so many poker sites around along with local casinos low entry tournaments and cash games, Texas Hold'em is spreading vastly across the world attracting the likes of many. Online poker which seems to be most common among the younger generation because of it easy layout of mostly clicking and the likes of not having to be at a poker room where your opponents cannot get a physical read on you have many advantages as well as its disadvantages such as not knowing the extinct of your opponent as they are usually random. Online poker in general has come to attract many “maniac like” playing styles and is very hard to enjoy the games unless you are playing really high stakes where your opponents take their money more serious. The likes of freerolls are somewhat impossible to enjoy playing in as some entrants simply enter because to was free to enter. All this and more makes the people who play poker for the game itself wonder is the game is not changing into a somewhat topsy turby circus what every clown with a computer who heard about the game now willing to play

if you are not enjoying playing against maniacs, over aggressive players etc. than pick your opponents more carefully- see which games they play, which are not popular with donks etc.- for example if you want to enjoy poker- you can open a home games club in stars and play for play money or for a very low buy in with you friends only, or with opponents like you- who dont like donking around- when you see such players in the tournament- have a chat with them, ask if they want to play in a smaller group etc.- there are always ways out

Hmm, what is the key aspect you would like to tell us ? Nevertheless, for me its enjoying the game after work and relaxing with it. Started 1,5 years ago with a $50 free bankroll and builded it up till today by playing on several sites and also several freerolls. Still not sure about which game is the best for me

Perhaps it is better today to play other poker games like pot limit omaha, five card draw or stud etc. to be a winning player. At the micros in nl games you have the problem, that in every hand you 3-4 opponents and so a lot of coinflip situations.

I also prefer to play omaha. Here you still find players that even don t know the rules but they certainly will loose there money. Several times seen a player go all in with 3 aces in their hand. I think it s more profitable and enhjoyable at the PL omaha tables, stud is also not bad. Personnally I dislike 5 card
But there are a lot of possibilities. Or even hold m limit , a lot of new players don t know that game

yeah there are lots of less popular poker forms you can have a go at- you can find lots of players at mtt's of a lesser known poker form who don't even know the rules of the game properly, never mind the game odds itself- so just browse around take some small shots until you find the game you can enjoy

I love the way everybody gets angry about people playing s**t hands. You have to remember this is your own SUBJECTIVE opinion about what is good or bad. I personally think TAG style is boring to play and would much rather play LAG and in the process annoy the TAG players. Hence having more fun.
